I think Denethor's just plain annoying. I mean, even if he hates one of his sons, that doesn't mean he has to tell the world that. And why did Denethor hate Faramir so much anyway? Sure, it would've been okay if he liked Boromir better cuz Boromir was the first born, but that doesn't mean he absolutely has to HATE his second born, does it?

I don't think Denethor hates Faramir. I think he justs loves Boromir more. Why would you think Denethor hates Faramir?
