I think Feanor as he got the whole ball rolling, but beleg and Fingolfin are cool too

All the elves were awesome... all the ones on the poll are great for different reasons.
Beleg and Mablung, because they kept fighting, protecting the borders of Doriath.
Thingol, first of all because he was really tall (:P). No, just kidding. First of all because he ruled an elf realm free from Melkor for many years. Also, he was a very caring, if controlling, father.
Luthien is great because she's powerful, but not so much so that she becomes the stereotypical all-powerful woman warrior. Also, she was willing to give everything for Beren.
The elves are, I will admit, my very favorite people of Middle Earth, and there are many, many amazing elves.

Any other suggestions for cool eldar??? This is not just confined to the ones on the poll, but for all things Eldarin.

Galadriel. I'm a major Galadriel fan. She's beautiful, strong and powerful. She made a pretty big mistake, rebelling against the Valar, but she learned from it-- unlike the sons of Feanor-- and after that was considerably milder and kinder.

The best elf of the Elder days? Out of the four you listed, I'm going with Luthien, because thanks to her help, Beren was able to steal the Silmaril from Morgoth. After her comes Elu Thingol, for being an awesome ruler, and the only one of the Sindarin elves to have seen the light of Valinor. Then comes Mablung, and then Beleg.
However, overall, my favorite (and the best) elves would be these:
Finrod Felagund - So awesome...he relinquishes his kingship to help a human on a seemingly hopeless quest, and then sacrifices his life as well to save him. He is so the best elf.
Fingolfin - Fingolfin rocks because he was the High King of the Noldor, and fought Morgoth face-to-face, and did pretty well in that fight.
Luthien Tinuviel - My reasons are stated above.
Fingon - Really cool character, even if he wasn't mentioned a whole lot except in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad.
Ecthelion/Glorfindel - Both were awesome, and I can't decide which one's cooler...they both killed Balrogs, though Ecthelion's balrog was Gothmog. These two are my favorites after Finrod, though maybe not as great as the others above them.
Elu Thingol - Good and fair ruler, even if he was a little touchy at the start of the book. He was a really cool character, IMHO.
Dior Eluchil - The son of Beren and Luthien and the fairest Child of Iluvatar (after Luthien), and the last king of Doriath. It'd be hard to make him seem cooler.

I love the Eldar. Pretty much all of them. The only ones I'm not too crazy about are Feanor and his Seven Sons, and even they have a sort of fierce passion and fire that I admire. My favorites are:
Finrod Felagund. A great leader. Skilled warrior. Loyal friend and king. Overall, just a great character.
Luthien Tinuviel. One of the few women in Tolkien's works with power, and great power she does have. I mean, she enchanted Morgoth, the Lord of Evil, for goodness sake. Beautiful beyond all measure. And willing to give up everything for the one she loves. I'm rather jealous of Luthien actually.

This topic is all things elder days Eldarin and also Tinuviels tears, why are you jealous of Luthien Tinuviel? Is it coz she had a really ace boyfriend or cause she was really powerful????

Um....I would have thought it'd be obvious, Eonwe'sBestMate.....Luthien was the most beautiful Child of Iluvatar. Ever. Who wouldn't be jealous of that (well, of the female gender. Being male, I don't exactly want to look like Luthien... )
I'm more jealous of Beren, for having such an ace girlfriend. And for being seriously awesome anyways.

Yep. I'm jealous of her because she was the most beautiful Child of Iluvatar, and on top of that, she was extremely powerful. I guess you could say she had a pretty "ace" boyfriend too. Beren is awesome.
Of course being female, I can't join in your discussion on whether she'd be an ace girlfriend, but yes, I'm jealous.
