Shutting the door quickly as the yowl sounded, Aaron put his luggage away just as quickly, then sat down in one of the available seats and seemed to struggle with something that was wriggling around in his coat pocket. A few seconds later, there was a shrill squeak, and it became clear that the object in his pocket was a rat..a struggling rat. "Bloody beast.." he muttered irritably, as the wriggling finally halted.

"Still having problems with the furball, 'Ron?" Allison asked calmly, once again looking away from the window.

"Yes.." came the dark reply.

"Oh, you've got a rat?" asked the girl, hastily shutting her basket. "I'll leave Pan in his basket, then." She paused to fix a clasp on the oversized cat-holder. "I'm Chanel, by the way."

"Name's Aaron." Aaron said, releasing his death grip on his coat pocket, and a small, black rat wriggled out of his pocket a few seconds later.

"And I'm Allison." Allison said, throwing one of her robes over her owl's cage, just as Tawny had begun eyeing the sleek-looking rat hungrily.

Sam looked around the platform, craning her neck. She pushed her black hair out of her eyes and continued to search for her friend.

"Looking for somebody?"

The voice came from behind her and she spun around. Standing there was her best friend Ty. "Not anymore...come on! We'll miss the train!" she exclaimed, grabbing his wrist and pulling him onto the train. They searched through the many carts, not really sure where to sit until Sam came to a halt so suddenly that Ty slammed into her. "Sorry," he said.

Sam opened the cart and the two entered the already full cart. Sam's sister Allison was already in there, as was Ty's brother and another . There wasn't mcuh room left, but they squeezed in anyway.

"Wow, talk about the popular compartment." Allison said dryly, moving closer to the window and making sure there was enough room for someone else to sit down. Belatedly, she then reached down and moved her owl's cage aside, and recieved more baleful hooting because of the sudden rocking of the cage.

Bella was growing bored when no one joined in her compartment and went to find other slytherins. It didn't take her long to see a familiar face in a nearby compartment. She stepped inside and sat across from blue-eyed student and smiled, pushing jet strands of hair over her shoulder.

"Hey Shawn... long time since I last saw you."
