Jack kicked up his legs even higher as he ran for the sake of his own life. He didn't dare look back, he just breathed all the more heavier and ran all the more faster.

With another nasty punch Gibbs lay the last native low. "Thanks, mate," he breathed at Bootstrap. Now where the bloody hell was Jack...
Nevermind that. Captain Jack Sparrow could take care of himself. Grabbing Bootstrap to help support his wounded ankle, Gibbs ran off in the general direction where he hoped the Black Pearl was anchored.

Robert burst into the jungle, tearing aside shrubbery and branches as he ran. Spears rained everywhere. Stupid, stupid, stupid! "Somebody bloody help me!" he roared.

"Yer welcome," Bill said as he leaned against a tree to support his weight.
Once Gibbs helped him along, Bill's ankle throbbed in pain. He bit his tongue and tried to hold in his gasps. "In which direction is our bloody ship, Gibbs?"

Gibbs thought for a moment. He really had not the vaguest clue. "That way," he concluded, pointing his arm in a random direction. The jungle. He realized suddenly that it was strangely quiet.
All the natives were gone.
Either they were out cold on the ground or chasing Robert. "Finally we got some luck, eh?" he said happily, dashing off.

As Robert came near the tree she was hidding behind, Lee waited for one more second and then reached out and grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him next to her. "You bloodly fool!" She said,huffing as she keep her dagger out. "Thank you." She said, then, hearing the natives getting near, she added, "Bloody heck we got to go! Come on Robert!"

Jack kept his eyes pinned ahead on the road, he hopped over logs, bushes, vines, and stones, he was on a roll.
He felt his throat grow parch, but that didn't stop his swaggering run.
Finally, a smirk spread across Sparrow's lips.
There! Up ahead! An opening amongst the trees! He must be headed the right way!

"If you say so..." Bill said in a gruff tone. In his opinion, luck was nowhere in sight. His ankle was broken, Jack was gone, Lee and Robert were in danger, and a canablistic tribe were chasing them.
Up ahead, Bill could see a clearing of trees, "Gibbs that way!" He pointed with his free hand.

Lee ran quickly, along with Robert beside her, the long way around, so that they might not get caught with the tribe again. But, they heard something...something bad...and just then a spear hit the tree right in front of Lee.
"Oh God, oh Lord.." She whispered as she barely dodged the spear.
"They've found us, Robert! Go back to the group...or come with me, whatever you choose! I think they went the way we were going, but if we lead them to them we're all dead!"
Another spear with excellent aim almost went through Lee's stomach as she jumped back and yelped. She turned the other way, praying, and started to run again.

Gibbs spotted the clearing as well, and he dashed off towards it. His heart nearly soared out of his body when he spotted sandy dunes beyond it. Foam-crested breakers leading to the open sea had never looked so beautiful. "The beach!" he whooped. "We've made it, Bill! We've made - oof."
Sitting unceremoniously in a dirt ditch, he cursed the world. He'd fallen right into a trap set by the natives. Still muttering oaths, he looked up. The ditch's walls were a sheer ten feet above him.
Screw this.

"Leave you? In your dreams!" Robert retorted. Adrenaline sped him on. He'd never run so fast in his life. Suddenly he ran into something resembling a wall. A soft and easily toppled wall.
He reeled, falling backwards into the dirt. Lo and behold, there stood Captain Jack Sparrow.

Bill landed slightly on top of Gibbs' chubby belly. He yelped as his ankle scraped along the dirt wall. "Well done, Gibbs! NOW YOU'VE DONE IT! We'll never get out of here! The walls are too bloody high!"
He sat down angrily and gripped onto his swollen ankle with a sour face.

Gibb's only response was an equally disgruntled groan. He fished around in his pockets for something - anything - that would get them out of this. His held up a rusted iron hook. "Just in case that daft Jack cuts m'hand off one day, ye know," he muttered, about to toss it aside.
He stopped himself and looked again at the hook with a novel plan forming...
