Gwyn chuckled. "Good job, Ayala.." She walked to her sister, and patted her shoulder.

Rober came riding up swiftly, sitting high in his saddle, one arm free, and he waved at Gwen and her sister, turning to the stables.

His came bounding up fastly, after unmounting, and got very close to Gwen before whispering hoarsely... "I've been scouting. I have some... some... some news about your father."

Gwyn looked a bit nervous as she said, "Tell me."

"Gwyn..." he said softly, "I, the men that is, well, we didn't mean, um, the sheriff..." he stopped, and looked away, scowling towards the direction of the town.

"He's in the tower. I know nothing more."

He couldn't bear to look her in the eyes, and under his breath he cursed rather rudely, trying to keep his emotions down.

Gwyn sighed softly. "Then he is alive, still.." she murmuired.

Shade came up from behind the small house and came upon the talking group and heard enough as he arrived. He was still young and quite new to the group to a point where they hadn't quite trusted him yet, but he looked over at Gwyn, who was beautiful, and said, "Well, we have to go and save him, then!"

Just became a college freshman; be on sparingly

"Not quite just yet, Shade." Gwyn said. "We can't go in there and try to rescue my father. We need to plan this. Now, Robert, can you give me an estimate of how many guards there were?" She looked at one of the most trusted men.

Shade sighed. He wasn't always the most patient men of the group, but he knew that Gwyn was right. Beside, it was her father, and she was taking after him excatly, for Shade knew her father from years ago and knew him well then; and he felt that if anyone could save her father and come up with a plan, it'd be her. But he didn't voice his oponion out loud, but waited for Roberts estimate.

Robert sighed, looked upward, and began silently counting.

"The front gate is guarded by only 6 men... because of the heavy walls. The west gate has 8 men positioned, but a weaker sort of defense. Of course there is the window to the east..." and here his eyes twinkled... "but it would take a very slight and slender person to go through them. They'd have to be nimble too, in order to climb it."

He was silent for a bit, tracing the dirt with his feet, and then looked back up at Gwyn.

"On the inside, we have no way of knowing. Unless one of us could get in and see; spy around a bit. Rumor says that the east side is near deserted... and the west is more heavily guarded."

"I'll go in an' spy. Though I know what o' Robin would say. 'Yeah shouldn't be the spy cause yeah only got one eye'" he mimicked pointing to his eye patch.
"Well, I was a spy before I joined the merry men... but it wasn't for the Sheriff o' them. I'll get in, spy, and get out." Edwind said...

Gwyn sighed as she sat down on the tree stump, and thought over it. "I'd say that we should send someone in, to try to spy. But who?"

She closed her eyes as a flashback came.

"Good job, Gwyn. Now I have to go." Robin said to a nine year old girl.

"Why can't I come with you?" she asked him, looking a bit pitiful.

"Because I need you to be safe in case something happens to me. I need someone to care for your sisters, since your mother is sickly." Robin said.

"Nothing happens to you! You're the King of the Theives!" she exclaimed.

"And if something does, you become the leader..." he said. "But you have to be safe for that.."

She looked sad, but nodded. "Yes, Father."

He smiled. "I'll take you one day.." he said to her. "I promise you. I will."

"And I hold you to that." she said.

Opening her eyes. "Nobody would recognize me there, because no one other than those in Sherwood has seen me."

Robert nodded slowly.

"Aye, you're right. Both Edwin and I would be recognized immeidiately. Especially Edwin..." he said, slightly snickering at the eye-patch.

He was silent for a bit. Then suddenly, he sprang alive... and said impulsively... "Come on, let's go! I'll escort you there, and wait outside." Robert was always so hasty.
