who has the 4 disc box set of this movie?

I have it .. just got it actually.

It was a really sad movie.. I cried during the whole thing.. especially the very end.

and I loved when Gaelic Storm performed in the Third Class party.. that was a real treat.. one of my favourite groups!

Oh I know- that was really cool!! :)

I loved it at the end when it showed all of Rose's pictures, and how she had done everything she and Jack had talked about. I thougt that was the perfect ending. :) (Even though I cried like crazy when I saw that. :P )

I really perfer the documentry side of the story, the love story bored me I realyl didnt find it all that appealing. I enjoy facts, actual recorded history. The real stories that I've heard from peopel that were on the ship are really very interesting. I have a book called 'Letters from the titanic' its a brilliant collection of actual letters people wrote, facts....It even goes into detail about how many peices of cutlery they had on board.

The movie was great and all, but looking back on it, its much more teenage-love story with a sinking ship in it than it is about the sinking ship part.

I love the history side of it as well. I love the love story in it, true- I found it very touching and well written. But I've found the story of the Titanic fascinating since I first really knew about it in 1st or 2nd grade. I've read just about every book I could get my hands on about it, and looked up tons of information. So I'm definatley 100% with you on that one. :P :)

about 12 or so years ago I saw a documentary on when they first discovered the titanic at the bottom of the sea, it was one of the most awe inspiring things I have ever seen.

Oh, if you know what it was called I would love to know. That's one side of the story I don't know quite as well- the rediscovering.

What I like researching is different passengers. Reading their different stories brings the whole thing to life for me. I highly recommend http://www.encyclopedia-titanica.org/.

ooh cool site, I've never seen so much information about the titanic so neatly organised lol.

I'm positive the re-discovering documentary is an old national geographic one from the late 80's early 90's, but I wouldnt have any clue about the actual title

Everytime I watch this film I secretly hope that it won't hit the iceberg :p

The gowns were all so gorgeous back then! I love the Edwardian era :)

I know they are absaloutly georgeous!! One of the dresses I adore is from the scene where Rose is attempting to jump of the rear of the ship, so pretty...Love to have a dress like that.
I also really like some of the hairstyles too, they are just so classy looking.

Definitely. My favorite gowns of Rose's would be the one she wears when Jack and her are running down in the boiler room, as well as the one she wears when she's back at Titanic towards the end when the old Rose dies. SO gorgeous!

Yes, my favorite is the one in the boiling room and throughout the whole time Titanic is sinking. I also love the one at the very end. :)
