yes it does! haha that stuff sounds so gorgeous all the bridles and nonsense
hehe
So I have this project horse. Well i rode him 2 weeks ago his name is Hal and he is a gorgeous palomino. He is wonderful for everything EXCEPT jumping. I jumped him like 1 and a half feet and he torrted over it like it was nothing. He is a HORRIBLE jumper. I am determined to get him better.
This friday a international show jumper is coming to the stable to give a clinic. I am in it and riding my baby. He's going to give up pointers on our jumping positions and stuff im super physched.
wish me luck that i don't make a fool of myself

Heya!!! Can I join in?
Best of luck, Meranwen Helanwë!!! That's such an amazing opportunity! Learn all you can and tell us all about it!
The last time I had a horseback riding lesson was when I learnt to jump the higher stuff (am horrid w/guesing measurements so don't ask) and then the weather in Dubai became too horrid again so I had to stop for a season. Afterwards, the traffic to the stables was about 90 mins there and 90 mins back and I couldn't ask my parents to spare that so I could ride for an hour or an hour and a half. Somehow spending more time in teh car than riding the horse wasn't very just.
Well, I have never owned a horse, just borrowed those that belonged to the stables. I rode this horse named "Freddie" for three years and he was absolutely adorable. Occassionally I'd ride a few others, "Foxy" was a particularly wild mare but I just loved galloping with her. That was simply amazing and she was somehow both wild and graceful at the same time. Freddie was really slow, but i loved him all the same because it made me the first in the group lessons I had to get off the lead rein (on the 1st lesson - w00t!) while most had to wait until about the 5th lesson to do it.
I miss riding... haven't had lessons in about two years now and am worried that I'll get rusty. I've had the occassional ride, but that's about it. Darn traffic and weather here!

I agree - if you have never ridden a horse you're totally missing out on something AMAZING!
But at least I got the chance and I hope that my college which I'll end up in next year might give me some opportunity for it.

I want to go for Equine Studies, but it's a lot of money.
And I haven't ridden in so long! It's sad.

Equine Studies could be rather expensive, but maybe you could get a scholarship or a nice financial loan if you show them just how passionate you are!!!
This is just some proof of how VERY obsesed I am with horses - I have horse pencil cases!!!
The brown one is named Raindew and the black one is named Nazgul... hee hee!!! Raindew is my RP horse for Eowyn and Nazgul... it figures. Lol.

hm... I've got a few horse pencil boxes! But I'm making a t-shirt that says what my banner says.
"I'm one little gir that would rather whisper to horses than talk to boys" (and It's true, too)
When I graduate highschool (which will be a few years because I'm in my last grade in middle-school) I plan to go to an equine center collage in New York for a bachelor's degree in collage, but before that my mom's going to make me go to a bibble school for at least a year...

...horsdes are more loyal than a man will ever be.......but sometimes they can be a little too loyal.
You know what I mean...dogs can never be too loyal but when a 1000 pound animal tries to sit on your lap its not funny anymore
