This is another quite interesting topic.. Someone names a matchup and others rant about who would be stronger, more powerful, etc. Who would win? Let us start off with a rather easy one..

Túrin versus Húrin

Have fun! I will share my opinion later.

Hurin is his father, right?

Then i think Turin, because he had that adventure and stuff and that maked him a good warrior. He has been through more then his father...

Father & son fighting each other? I don´t think they´d be able to do that to each other ... But as we live in an Alternate Universe world ...

I think that Húrin would win - he was at the Nirnaeth, but on the other hand Túrin slew a dragon and was a great fighter. Oh man, idk.

I think Turin. He was nuts, and I think his craziness and anger combined would make him quite a formidable match for his dad.

Are we supposed to start a new matchup (this reminds me of TORn's Arena), or wait for more opinions?

I'd say Hurin would win - he was, after all, said to be the Greatest warrior among men.

It doesn't matter whether they actually could be fighting each other or not.

Húrin was indeed the greatest warrior of Men, so I think he would win. Túrin is indeed pretty crazy and he would be stronger if he were in one of his so-called "moods".. but I think, eventually, the greatest warrior, namely Húrin, would win.

I'd have to agree with Elu. Wasn't it Hurin who was captured by Morgoth for all those years? If it wasn't, then please forgive me my friends, I haven't read the Sil in some time.

Really, it could have been either. Turin was kinda loopy... But Hurin was strong and brave. He withstood torture... So really depends probably what they were fighting over.

A new matchup may be needed. May i suggest Fingolfin and Feanor?
P.S. I think Turin would have won the fight, but it would have been close.
VERY CLOSE..

Before we go on to the next one-
I think Hurin would win. Turin was physically very strong, but Hurin had to have an incredible mind to withstand what Morgoth put him through. Being forced to watch your family fall into ruin can't be fun.

I don't remember much about Fingolfin, but as I recall he was a little more honest than Feanor- I would lean towards him.

I think Fingolfin would win the figth between him and feanor. He was the most valient and probablly the most cool thinking of all th esons of Finwe. I ahd a similar discussion on Tolkien Forums and teh matchup was similar. Also I think this matchup is more plausible than Hurin vs Turin
We are most blessed to have in our midst the administrator and a moderator!

I also believe Fingolfin would win. Feanor tended to lean towards craft, and less towards battle. Though both were very strong, Feanor probably was less in vitality.
