I haven't seen it yet... I'm unsure as to whether i will...but anyway, i'm glad you liked it.
Well, Zandain, i'm not sure how to explain it... That phrase on your banner kind of combines something of Middle-earth's culture with something that's very "teenage American" (I don't know if you're a teenager or an American, but i hope you know what i mean? ), but in kind of an innocent way, so...hope that helps explain. Anyway, we're amused in a good way.
Okay, thanks Forever. Then I guess i have done it right, since it's there... I may save the other versions to my computer, too, just in case i decide to switch banners for a while. It's nice to know i have avid waiters (so to speak ). I'm getting close to being done with just typing my poems up... I'll let you know of course when the site's up.
Oh, and I almost forgot! Has anyone here seen Forever Young? (Elijah plays a ten-year-old boy named Nat, who meets a test pilot who's been frozen--in storage, so to speak--since 1939, and...I won't give the rest away. Lij is really cute in that one though. Of course. ) Anyway, we rented it, and now i've seen it. I'd been wanting to see it, because...long story, but there was this quiz (on a site for fans of Elijah as a child) where you could find out which young character of his you were most like. I was most like Nat, so that's what got me interested in the movie. I think all but one of you were here when i posted the link to the quiz earlier, but i guess this serves as a reminder ... Anyway, has anyone else seen it? (And discovered how adorable Nat is...? )

..the character Nat is definately sweet
..love his initial expression, the first time he sees Mel Gibson´s character..
..the scene in the tree house, where he is `shown´ how to fly..
..quickly hopping back to my banner, I do understand the Middle Earth/teenage slang component..just didn´t think it was that amusing, but glad you like it..laughter is a good thing...

I've never heard of that movie Eariel. But sounds like one i should definately check out. I love the movies where Lij was young, he's so adorable and shows his talent at such a young age. I actually love watching movies with stars as children and you get to say, 'wow, I can't believe that was them." Kind of like Elijah. The only thing that hasn't changed tremendously while growing up is those eyes!
Alright, I'm done.

Glad you don't mind, Zandain...(I'd hate to offend you or anyone else, so... *is relieved* )
I like the tree house scene, too. I also love one where he sings "You Are My Sunshine". Well, any scene with Nat in it i'm bound to like at least somewhat...
You should see it, Itarilde! It is fun to see movies with stars you know (of ) as children... Man, you can so tell it's him, though...! Even at age 10 or 11, lol. You're right, those eyes haven't changed much... *sighs dreamily*

What are we talking about? Elijah as a child in movies? I've never seen any other movie with him than LotR, unfortunately. I should change that.
Which reminds me of....
BOBBY! I think the movie is already out in the States, isn't it? Did anybody already see it? I can't wait for it!

Bah! I still didn't get to see Forever Young. I've seen a video clip of Lij singing "You Are My Sunshine" and it was almost unbearably cute. Definitely the cutest thing I've ever seen.
And guys, Earielmposetd the link to that quiz a few pages ago if you want to check it out. I took it and got Nat as well. You guys should try it. It's fun.
As an aside to Zandain, I too would like to express my general mirth at your banner. It's very true.
No! I haven't seen Bobby yet! Is it out! Is it out! When? Where? I want to see it! My friend mentioned it today and was talking about how depressing it was that he has to kiss Lindsay Lohan. I tried using the srguments we all said here, but she wasn't pacified. Of course, this is also my friend who, reportedly, was thoroughly convinced in 7th grade that she was going to meet Elijah Wood and marry him. She believed it with all her heart. I didn't know her then, but I can see her being obsessive like that. She doesn't like him quite as much anymore, though she still does like him very much. But yes, Bobby! is it out? Someone clue me in!

I'm not sure...I think i read that the wide release date was Nov. 23, though the limited was ( i think) Nov. 17, so...it wouldn't be out either way. *sigh* We'll tell you about it if we get to see it before you do, Forever.
Lol, I think i might like your friend, TT. Lucky you!--I don't know anyone in real life who likes Elijah as much as I do...anyway, i have you guys, so that's much better than nothing, of course. Here's the link to the official site...
http://movies.about.com/gi/dynamic/offs ... movie.com/
Speaking of Forever Young, you've got to see it as soon as (ethically) possible, lol. I'm glad you got to see the him singing "You Are My Sunshine," though. It's one of my fave parts, i think.
Well, there's another poem I'd like to show you... I was revising one that I wrote (on Elijah's 23rd birthday, oddly enough ) about when Frodo's coming to realize that he can't go back to being who he was before the Quest, and decides to sail West. (I didn't have any particular Elves in mind when I wrote the parts labeled "Elves," lol. I guess those parts were inspired at least partly by some of what both Arwen and Elrond said to Frodo in the book.) So here it is. *looks at one of the revised lines* I seem to have a thing for the word "haunted" lately, lol... *is blaming interest in Evanescence for that *
Frodo
I wonder and wander in gloaming so dim--
Above shine the Elvenstars, never to wane:
Against the deep sky arches young, leaf-clad limb--
Will I be whole and joyful in Spring again?
Elves
Have you come home after Ages of lore?--
How sweet West-bourne wind blows beyond Sorrow's lee!
Know you of starlight on Elvenhome's shore?--
Have you heard the rising of the Sea?
Frodo
How do you weave the threads of an old life
When at last you perceive you can't truly come home?
I'm wounded too deep by long Burden and knife--
I cannot find peace as at twilight I roam.
Elves:
Grey ships on High Seas in starlight ere Dawn
Through rain of this World to unfading lands pass:
Over the water flows Elfland's sweet song--
And all turns to silver glass!
Frodo
With those whom I love I would spend all my days--
I long to find peace in this dear land of Earth:
I've seen far too much, passed too many dark ways--
I long to see Ear beyond the grey Firthe.
Elves
White shores in the Morning--Eressea's bay--
A green country far below swift rising Sun:
In healing, all sorrows and fears pass away--
Will you come with us?--the Dawn is begun!
Frodo
Still I remember the Queen's words to me:
"Though my fate lies with Men, in my stead you shall go--
If still your hurts grieve you, pass over the Sea--
Remember the Havens when Autumwinds blow."
Elves
Are you haunted by Night where you long had to roam?--
To you once our Evenstar gave her life's grace:
Swift comes the Dawn in the land of our home--
Will you sail through Oceanlace?

Wonderful as ever Eariel. There's only one part I think that didn't make sense, but I think it was a typo. "I long to see Ear beyond the grey Firthe." I am assuming that that means Earth, but I wanted to be sure it wasn't meant to be something else. I am quite sure you didn't mean ear . Speaking of ears, I love Frodo's pointed ones, and Lij's nonpointy oned are also rather adorable.
Yeah, that's my LOTR obsessed friend. I've only got one, but she does love it. She has a life size cut out of the Hobbits in her room. I'm jealous. I want to steal them. Like, I said, she doesn't love Lij quite as much as she used to, but she stills loves him. We were being excited about Bobby and Happy Feet together.
November 23? That's Thanksgiving. (It also happens to be the day before my birthday, but that's not really important.) Hmmm........ perhaps I will go and see it for my birthday? All of these good movies are coming out, and I'm going to go broke from going to see all of them. But Elijah's worth it.
By the way, Forever, I just saw you're beautiful graphics on the previous page(s). They're stunning. Eariel, you're site is going to look so nice. I like the blueish one as well. It goes well with the site name. It's very........ dreamy.
EDIT:
So.... seeing as we are talking about Elijah as a child actor, I have something to share with you guys.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYVnokOcn3o
Ta da! A semi-brief video about Lij as a little kiddie, with many shots of him both as a kid and more recently. It made me smile anyway.
EDIT #2:
Ok. Here's another cute one. I laughed so hard when he was saying "I might go and study dharks or something, or I might just stay with this.." Something like that. Anyways, it's adorably Elijah. Here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44iIUURzuLk
Also, I watched a video that was one of the Eastereggs from the LOTR DVD where Dom pretends to be a German reporter interviewing Elijah. I nearly cried I was laughing so hard. Have you guys seen it?

TT, you're here!
That was beutiful Eariel! It just comes so naturally for you! I'm completely jealous.
TT, those videos were adorable. The first one, I actually got the pleasure of watching on TV when VH1 was playing it on the channel. The second video was unbelievably cute. At such a young age he sounds so smart and he acts older than his age. He was just so cute! It's hard to believe it you look at a pic of him now and look at one of him then that they'd be the same person. He's grown up so much but still kept some sort of innocence about him.

I agree--he sounds so wise for such a young kid. Thanks for posting those, TT. (Also, that's cool about your birthday being the 24th! And it is important--happy birthday! Maybe you should go see Bobby to celebrate...you're right, he is worth it, lol...)
Also, thank you for your compliments. (It doesn't always come naturally, Itarilde, even now-a-days. With this one, i did have to revise it a bit before I deemed "postworthy" lol .) I probably should have mentioned this in my last post, but let me explain about Ear now. (You're right--I didn't mean ears, though both Frodo's and Lij's are quite nice. ) It's Elvish for "the Sea," so hopefully that should make sense now. To someone who didn't speak very much Elvish (Quenya to be exact), i know it could be confusing.
I came across some more vidoes while watching the ones you posted, TT. Here they are: (It's two parts of another childhood interview. Oh, you can so tell it's him..! He seems near as wise as ever, lol. )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ha7YXIVxcxA&NR
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFa0u13vmAg&NR
I'm glad you agree about Forever's banners. I'm grateful that she made them for me. Thanks--I guess a "dreamy" atmosphere is a good goal, lol.
Speaking of that Wood Elves scene, I wanted to show you yet another poem I wrote a while ago but have revised a bit to bring it "up to par," so to speak. (At some point i didn't really understand meter, and some of the rhymes i used wouldn't pass now, in case you were wondering what "revise" means, lol. Sometimes I'll also change the wording, if it isn't quite what I want.) This one is supposed to be from Frodo's point of view, when he and Sam are watching the Elves pass by in FotR EE. Except for the chorus, which is the Elves singing. (This one's similar to the other one in that part of it is from Frodo's viewpoint and part is from the Elves' viewpoint, lol.) So here it is.
Leaving this land that they long made their home,
They go to the harbours--to Elfships of grey:
The Sunset has called them to star-colored foam--
Over the West-sea they'll sail away.
Chorus
O Queen of the Starlight, from afar we sing to thee--
Beneath mallorn we've dwelt as the leaf-strewn Ages passed:
Yet still we remember the starlit, foaming Sea--
They children come home across the years so vast!
Under the starlight, singing to their Queen,
They make for Belfalas, for the Towers White:
Many are the joys and sorrows they have seen--
They pass like a moonbeam, shimmering in the night.
Chorus
This country they loved when the stars held Ever-Eve,
Yet after lonely exhile, their Homecoming is nigh:
Between joy and sorrow, this World of ours they leave--
Singing in the starlight, they softly pass us by.
Chorus

I feel stupid now. But thanks for telling me. I've learned a new Elvish word! No, unfortunately I don't know much Elvish, just a few fragmented phrases and words. LOL. Ear. You're right. Both Frodo's and Lij's are quite nice.
Yes! I actually watched those ones on YouTube last night too! I was watching Lijahvids for most of the night. It was great. For that second one, where he's doing karate, I was cracking up for ........ probably ten minutes. He's so adorably himself! And he's so confident! Little Lijah...... he's so cute.
And.... another lovely poem. Seriously, do you ever write anything bad? Ever? Because every single one of your poems is so good. *sigh* *is jealous*

Hi, everybody. (waves) I'm a Lij fan too. Um, well I came here to give all other Lij fans a heads up, Lij is going to be on Discovery Kids Sunday at 6:30 5:30 c. The way I take it's going to be a show on saving penguins. See, I read it in the TV Guide magazine a few minutes ago under the section "Hot List". I think it means tomorrow. Though it might not matter in my case because I'm not sure if I get that channel. I"ll have to check and see if I get that channel latter.

NOOOOO! I don't have Discovery Kids! So I won't be able to watch it. Ah well. I suppose I can just go on YouTube and continue addictively watching Lijahvids. That's really cute that he's doing a show on saving penguins though. I wish I could see it. thanks for the info anyway Drew's Destiny. That was really nice of you. Always happy to see another fan of Lij especially when they come bearing important Elijah imformation. Although, cookies work too.

Oh, my! I thought that that I was the only one who didn't have Discovery Kids Channel. Oh, nobody has it. This sucks! I hope that somebody else puts it up on the internet or can tell us all that happens in it. Hopfuly somebody will be able to get it. (trys to smile)
Tinuviel's Tears and Itarilde, You're both very welcome.

Thanks for the heads-up, DD. (Btw, do you want to join, if you haven't already? I can't remember, sorry. Anyway, just wondering--you don't have to join of course. ) It's interesting that the show's about penguins, considering that one of his new movies is also about them. I wonder if that's more than coincidence? *sigh* I'm not sure if i get that channel or not...well, hopefully someone will put it on Youtube or something.
Speaking of which, I'm glad you liked the karate on that vid too, lol. (I was thinking, "You take 'em, kid!" lol) I adore Lij as a kid. He had this amazing quality...still does, lol.
TT, don't feel bad about Ear. I know it could be confusing. I think that I'll probably tell what any Elvish words in a particular poem mean when i post them on my site, just because i know not everyone speaks it and it's not unusual that I'll use them (Elvish words, i mean ). Yes, I have definately written stuff I'd be embarrassed to post. The poems that are going to be on my site are by no means the full volume of my work--just the part of it i consider "siteworthy," lol. (With revision, though, other previously written poems may be posted there, too, so it's not set in stone i guess.) I still do write some things that feel like they just aren't coming right, though it's not as bad i guess as it used to be. I've had lots of practice, considering that i'm nearing my fourth year of Ringerhood and thus of seriously writing poetry. (Wow, has it been that long...Anyway, i wrote before as well, but becoming a fan really started me rolling i guess. )
I hope Forever comes back soon. I miss her.
