Both Merry and Pippin blushed and Pippin, who normally had no courage at all, said to Nienna, "You have done us more honor than we could you, Lady." Merry laughed softly as confusion beheld the group. Turwaithiel turned her horse around to face Nienna and said,
"If you go after it, it could take hold of you again and this time you wouldn't be able to break it! I don't want you to die, Nienna!"

Nienna looked thoughtful.
"It wil not take hold of me this time, i have summoned my greatest of power, it shall be defeated. i thank you, though, for your concern, but consider the hobbits! for the second time Middle Earth is in the hands of these dear creatures. we must do all that we can to protect them."
she smiled once again at Turwaithiel and the hobbits.
"I thank you also, for i owe you my life. and you, master hobbits, honor is only as much as you feel in your heart, you have much honor, and i thank you as well. now i shall proceed to hunt a cloaked figure whom deserves to feel my wrath!" she said this last bit with amusement glittering in her eyes.

Turwaithiel sighed. "You remind me of my brother. Stubborn with so much honor and bravery. Here, take this at least....for luck, if you believe such things." Turwaithiel handed her a small pendant of a silver flower and said, "It stands for light against darkness. Nelmarie and hannon le, mellon. Noro lim." Then, Tur bowed her head and turned her horse and said to the group, "Hurry! For the hobbits!"

Nienna grapsed the pendant tightly.
"Thank you,mellon nin, i shall reurn it to you as soon as i get back."
she nodded at Turwaithiel and the hobbits before turning and facing the figure that was fast approaching. she held her sword high and her horse reared on it's back feet and whinnied.
her long, reddish brown hair flowed out behind her as she called a challenge in elvish to the figure. the time had come.

[wait one moment! You guys have confused me! What happened in my last post, was replying to the fact that Nienna had just had something Horrible happen to Her, Elthara knew that this was more powerful than the figure that was still behind them. I did NOT say, that the figure had gone anywhere! We'll pick it up from here though ]

As Nienna approached the Figure, Elthara shouted in Elvish, words of caution. Nienna did not seem to take heed, Elthara knew that the evil that had just overcome her was dangerous, and by approaching the figure, the situation could get worse, but she felt Nienna was able to handle herself.
At that thought, she turned alwenrill. Frodo was still unconcious.
'mellons' elthara spoke sharply. 'We must split up. I must take Frodo to Rivendell. The figure behind us is approaching fast, we must move hastily Noro Lim!' she yelled after Tur. Everyone moved hastily along through the misty patch. The eerie atmosphere evoked a feeling of faer among the companions but they mobed hastily nonetheless.

The others were long gone by now, Niena and the figure faced each other. the stillnees and quiet of the mountain pass was interrupted only by the noise of the figure sniffing. suddenly and without warnign the figure charged at her. Nienna's mount moved aside just intime and the figure brushed past them. He wheeled his horse around and laughed.
"You think you can defeat me, elf? we shall have a test." and with that he charged again, this time,as he flashed by them Niena thrust out with her sword and was rewarded with a snarl of pain. then she herself gasped out as a white hot pain rushed up her arm. she clenched her teeth together as she fought with the thing, this would be a long battle.

Elthara knew that the battle would take a long time, and she knew that the figure, although Nienna had a great power sear through her, would have immense powers.

'She will not be able to do it alone.' Elthara gasped. She stopped Alwenrill and took her hobbit companions off the horse. Frodo was still unconcious. Nienna had given Frodo to Elthara before going off to face the dark figure.
'Take them to Rivendell' elthara stated 'You must take them to Rivendell...do not let them wait any longer. Please comrades!' She looked toward Manawen and the newest hooded elf figure. 'Ride hard' she stated and with that she turned Alwenril around. With a shout of 'Noro Lim' she headed back toward the battle...feeling no fear, only determination and loyality.

Nienna sprang toward the figure with all her might, though her might was wearing thin. she had to do something to stun the figure, just enough so that she could get the one fateful strike. they had both dismounted and were on ground combat now, rushing at each other. as the figure advanced upon her agian, she struck the sword out with all her might. the sword went right through the figure. it screamed, a horrible, loud high pitched scream. Nienna was knocked to her knees by the noise and she covered her ears.
the noise stopped and the figure was gone, she figured she had wounded it enough so that it would not come back for a while.

she slowly stood up, she felt dizzy, but hugely successful. she cleaned her sword off on the hem of her dress, it was already bloody so it didn't matter. she ofund her left arm quite immoble adn stiff from the loss fo blood, and it hurt painfully. she shook her head to clear it and mounted up.
"Well,Eonwe, to Rivendell." she patted her horses neck and gathered up the reins. 'if there is a Rivendell' she silently thought to herself.

Turwaithiel watched as someone else left and she sighed. "Come!" She called to the rest of the group. "Take heart, lads and ladies! We will arrive to the Elf Haven soon! Hyah!"

Nienna was weary. she had been riding for some time now. she looked up and saw Elthara riding swiftly in her direction. she held up a hand in greeting and smiled a tired smile. Whe Elthara rode up Nienna said to her,"The Valar have been kind to me and have given me victory, let us ride with haste to catch up to the others."

Elthara looked at Niennas arm.
'your arm...' she stated ' a creature of such force cannot leave you with such a mark and leave no effect...we must seek Gandalf at Rivendell...We must seek help! Noro Lim Alwenrill!'

As they rode as fast as they could, Nienna shouted a few words across to Elthara.

"My wound is not of much concern to me right now! how were the others? has Frodo awakened yet?"

she shouted these words to Elthara but kept her eyes on the road in front of her, for she feared if she did not, she would faint. she was dizzy enough to faint right now but she hung on to consciousness grimly.

"Noro,Lim,Eonwe,my faithful companion." she whispered into her mount's ear. Eonwe,in response,picked up her pace and twitched her ear.

Nienna felt tears sting her eyes,
"Thank you,Mellon nin,thank you,Eonwe."

They where very close to Rivendell. Which was good, for they all had become weary and all the hobbits where sleeping...and the horses where tiring quickly. Turwaithiel stopped her horse and said, "We should wait for the others before we go."

Elthara cast a glance over to Nienna and she could see that she was weak. Elthara was worried.

'We must fasten our pace, please Alwenrill, Noro Lim!' Both horses sped up and the companions rode in sync along the misty route between the mountains.
'Frodo, no he still lies unconcious...and he will be in far more danger than i first expected if he does not reach Rivendell today' Elthara continued in a worried tone. Nienna nodded but she looked weary. Elthara was very concerned.

Time went by hastily and the companions reached a rather dark looking river. The water was black and the mountains around were veiled in mystery. 'I recognise this place...we are not far from the Barrow-Downs...Spirits still linger here and we must move quickly. Although the evil of Sauron is gone, as we know, the greater evil had been uncovered and the spirits here will always be here no matter what. It i stheir destiny. I pity them.' The two companions dismounted their steeds and sat by the river with caution.

'We cannot linger long, but i feel it necessary to take a break in our long and tedious journey' Elthara stated. Nienna seemed to agree. 'Take this' Elthara stated handing Nienna a small silver bottle 'Drink it, It was passed down to me by my father. He said that this bottle has the power to heal. Anything put into it will be transformed into a potion...but should anything evil or not pure of heart touch it, there will be great danger...' Elthara lay down and looked upon the moon. It was large and yellow, night had just crept in. 'We must make haste, for longer delay will prolong suffering...I can feel it'

The companions again mounted their steeds and rode on through the dark pathway...with no knowledge where they might be swept off to, only instince to guide them.
