'the birds' is pretty bad. hitchcock's my favourite director, but he let me down on this one - the effects are poor but excusable given the time it was made, but there's no excuse for the terrible acting, the dodgy editing, the painfully slow beginning and the complete failure to recreate the claustrophobia of daphne du maurier's short story.

i also hate harry potter and all chick flicks. entirely pointless trash.

Oh yeah, I forgot about HP. That one is X'ed out of my list of good movies too.

I have to add 'The DaVinci Code' to my list. Despite having plenty of great actors, the acting is awful (except for Ian McKellen ;) ) extremely dull, and even confusing.

^you have to read the book for it not to be confusing. the book is a tenfold better, though I must say they could have done the movie better.

I feel like complaining about The Marine. the movie wasn't the worst I've ever seen, but I expected so much more from the previews. The action and plotline in general were weak. No small amount of explosions, but could have had way more gunfights and scenes where they exchange automatic gunfire.

Agreed. The book is a zillion times better than the movie. Yah it could have been better, but I think it's a fairly decent adpatation.

:O you've seen The Marine? lol
It's not coming into theaters over here as far as I know. I actually liked the trailer (got bored after the millionth time they aired it on WWE shows though), and even though I'm not a fan of Cena as a wrestler it peaked my curiosity.
Looks sort of the thing Arnie or Sly would do. Guess I'll have to wait till it's out on dvd.
:annoyed2:

I've read the book, but I still find bits of it confusing. Maybe my finding it confusing walks hand in hand with the boredom. Or maybe I'm just not too bright. :P

i thought the da vinchi code was good, but a film i really hated when i saw it... ok i know its a kids film, but saw with my cousins who were about 4 and 2 was the cat in the hat. i usually like mike myers too, so that ruined it for me. also, wallace and gromit movie, curse of the wererabbit was crappy. okay, i love wallace and gromit, but it was kinda ruined by that film oh and another one was zathura jumangi was brilliant but zathura :fish: this is what should be done to the producer of this *fine* film, no offence meant to all fans of these movies

Let's see...
Napoleon Dynamite(or however you spell it!)-I've never seen it, but I've heard that it was really stupid, and that it had no point.

Harry Potter-Never seen them either, but I always disliked Harry Potter, and I think the movies are over-rated.

Castaway-I love this movie, but I absoleluty hate the ending!

Fiddler on the Roof-Once again, the movie is ok, but the ending is horrible!

Star wars I,II and III- They were OK, but nowhere near as good as the first ones. And I never really got the Anakin and Padme romance thing...I mean it seems like they wern't in love very much....

The Davinci Code- I think this movie was way over-rated, especially when it just came out. (It's also against my relegion...but we won't go into that ;))

Awww, I thought that was a cute movie. The very end was a little mediocre, but I liked it overall. It did, however, scream 'chick flick'!

I certainly don't mean to attack anyone at all but I was just curious as how you can name a movie "bad" or "worst movie" when you haven't even seen it? Even if it looks bad, stupid, horrible, lame or crappy shouldn't you at least see it before you actually make a judgement on it?

Just curious. No offense intended.

I'm not a book purist, really, and I hadn't read Ella Enchanted before I saw the movie and I thought it was sort of cute. I've read the book now, and it does differ, but I don't think that's really too much of a bad thing in some cases.

Hmm. That one animated movie "Doogal". Trash, garbage, the quintessence of "putressence" ( :p ) The voices were bad, bad, the lines were childish, the story was non-existent, the characters were soooo terrible to look at and and I got no enjoyment out of it at all. Soo bad.
