Later on that day, just shortly after noon, the official opening act of the festival was finally held, and immediately after, the entertainment truly began! While Mirielle and several other girls performed an elaborite dance to the music of tambourines and flutes, Rene walked through the thronging crowd, looking at his ease, but all the while clutching a dagger beneath the fabric of his dark coat. He and the twins had taken to patrolling among the crowds, checking up on those in their troupe every so often, as a precaution. If anything was to go wrong..they would attack on grounds of self-defense.

Carlos prowled likewise among the crowds, meeting everyone's gaze with an easy smile beneath his shaggy black hair but inwardly watchful and tense.

Belle danced, ankle bells jingling merrily, and black curls tossing. Carlos would have denied it, but he did keep an especial eye on her.

Passing by Carlos as he completed his second or third round of the grounds, Rene gave a small nod in Carlos' direction, a sign that everything was going well so far. Let's just hope it stays that way..

Carlos raised his eyebrows in acknowledgement and relaxed a little. Maybe today would be all right - perhaps he was worrying for nothing.

Rene walked on as soon as this short communication passed between the two of them, and he took a different route this time around; passing by one of the fortune-tellers, as well as several more dancers and musicians.

The day was going to be profitable for Lisette, she was sure of it. She hadn't swiped any purses yet-she wanted to wait until later in the day so people didn't get suspicious too fast and hold tightly onto their money. She was standing near Gabriel, watching a group of women dance.

Gabriel was helping keep an eye on the crowd, like some of the other men. He didn't carry any weapons, but he was good at fighting with his hands, if it came to that.

Annalett, before the festival started, had snuck to her house, and taken all of her art supplies like paints, brushes, pencils, chalk, paper, and an easil. She met up with the gypsies at the festival, and set up her stuff not far from were the dancing was taking place.

So far, she had painted two portraits, and a landscape, and earned three silver coins, and many copper coins...

Evelyn walked around the crowd of people at the festival. The bells around around her waist, ankles, and wrists chimed as she moved. Eve didn't have a set destination, she was just walking around, smiling at all the others.

((Okay...walking around...good...now for some action...))

As the dancers came close to ending their routine, Belle twirled with a flourish and held out a cap with a few coins already in it to onlookers, flushed and bright-eyed. No coins were forthcoming, but as a man in a long coat came by, hobbling and using a thick walking stick, he brushed past her and the stick swished quickly, sweeping the girl off her feet. She fell awkwardly and hard on the flagstones with a cry of pain, and the few coins she'd had flew out of the cap onto the stones. There they were hurriedly pounced on by ragged spectators. A few people laughed and Belle turned scarlet with shame. The man had disappeared into the crowd - but not before collecting a few of the coins that had fallen with a suspicious degree of mobility for somone who used a stick to walk.
