This was a random idea I had this morning, and couldn't take action on until tonight. So this is how it works...

Sauron has long been vanquished, and Middle-Earth has been relatively peaceful. Elessar is king in Minas Tirith, and the vast majority of the Elves have departed to Valinor. But deep in Mirkwood, where only a small community of humans and the odd elf still remain in the once populous palace, a new threat is growing unbeknownst to the king and the rest of Middle-Earth. The small group in Mrikwood is concerned and has sent out a small party to find out what they can, while they call for aid, but this enemy is proving difficult and they cannot send a messenger past the borders of the forest without their mysterious disappearance. SO...

The small party will consist of four, one of them mine (Meleth) and three more empty spots. There can be as many residents of the palace in Mirkwood as people want, but please no more than three or four elves total (one of them is mine), as most of them have left Middle-Earth. The others can be humans, dwarves, hobbits...whatever you like. You may also play a mysteriously disappeared messenger, as they come into the story a bit later on But only about two of those. Oh yes, and if you're playing more than one character, only one of them can be a messenger or part of the scouting party (though you can have one character in both). Just so there's room for everyone.

Background: Tarannon was born in Ithilien after the War of the Ring, and after living a relatively peaceful childhood, he decided that he wanted some adventure in his life, so he joined the Rangers. When King Elessar sent troops up to establish an outpost in Eryn Lasgalen, to fill in the gaps made by the leaving elves, Tarannon was one of those who went. He is fairly good with his sword, but he prefers his bow by far, as he has been using it far longer than a blade.

History: Saedd was born in Minas Tirith after WOTR. Grown up and raised in there as a skilled swordsman when he was a child by his father. Taken into the military. And sent on a mission by King himself to Mirkwood for a secret one of course. But unluckily, the party he was with was being attacked by invaders who dwell in Mirkwood. Luckily, he had enough time to run away.

Ok, heres my charrie's bio for anyone who hasnt' seen it.

Name: Aearion Útíradien
Age: About 3000
Gender: Male
Race: Elf, Silvan

Appearance: He is tall, With long blonde hair braided as the elves usally do. He has a lean build and a gentle and yet stern and serious face. He also has bright green eyes, but they do not focus on anything, because he is blind. Thought most do not notice, Aearion has faint scars that run slanted across his face, and over his eyes.

Garb: Mostly that of the Mirkwood elves, greens and browns. Though he does use many disguses to get around sometimes.

History: When Aearion was an infant, he and his mother, Véredhiel were captured by the residence of Dul Guldor, where Sauron's minions tortured his mother for information that she did not have, and ended up permanently blinding Aearion for his mother's scilence. After they were found by a scouting party, they were brought back to Greenwood where Aearion made a full recovery, save his blindness. But his mother was too far gone, and passed into the halls of mandos. After the death of his wife, Sadron, Aearion's father, sailed to The undying lands, where he was sure he would find his wife. When he left, Sadron left his young son with Nestarion, a good friend and a healer. As he grew older, Aearion began to cope with his blindness and blocked out the teasing from all of the other elflings. Though one Elf did not blame him for his disability -- Legolas Greenleaf, the prince, accually admired Aearion for living life so fully, even when blind. Now as an adult, Aearon has long been friends with the prince and has learned to fight -- but only when needed, as it is hard to fight blind. His guardian, Nestarion has taught Aearion all his life in the healing arts, and he has done quite well. (bad ending I know...sorry.)
