Scarlett, my advice to you would be to start talking about hard rock/hard metal/punk/emo bands and see how fast that gets his attention

*runs from Mrs.Gamgee for dear life*
hugs are an affront to my evilishyness. I'd die if someone sees me hugging in public (which probably won't happen). my friends know this, and they gang up on me to give me a hug, especially in crowded areas.

Oh yes, I love hugs!! When you're in a relationship with a guy I think it's hard for some people to realise that it isn't all about kissing and stuff like that. Hugs are nice germ-free things you can also give every once in a while. I think it provides more contact between the two people anyway. Sorry, I'm kind of mellow like that.

Hmm. Well, I like hugs. However, I have a very big personal space, and therefore often shy away if someone comes within that area. This generally isn't condusive (sp) with hugs
Hugs are a great way of showing a simple affection, and works well both with a 'partner' and friends. (Society, however, dictates that it can't work with guys... You all know why...) Lots of the girls at school hugs regularly (some take it to extremes and feel the need to hug every time they see each other ) and as people get older, they see it more for what it really is, rather than shying away from all contact. We've all been through that stage
But yeah, hugs are great... (some of us don't get enough of them though )

I really love hugs, too. Whether it's when I'm sad or glad to see someone, they almost always make me feel good.
Story time!!
I was at my small group which takes place at one of our leader's houses [lets call her Jenny] and so we all sit in the living room, eat cookies, and talk and share stuff. Anyway, when we were taking prayer requests, and something had been weighing me down for a long time, I finally was able to say it -- and barely held back the tears. But afterward I think Jenny realized what kind of state I was really in, and said nothing but just hugged me, and then I broke down and cried.
*Sigh* So...yeah. Hehe!
There's also a guy at my church who was a leader at my middle school youth group [I'm now in high school]. And he's just an amazing person. He and his wife recently had their first baby, it's so cute. Recieving hugs from him really makes me feel...
safe. I don't know, but I feel something totally different. And it's not one of those "guy" hugs, like Darrell was talking about, but a genuine, "I really care about you. How are you?"

Well...hugs are nice, whenever I get one. It's almost like the same thing as kissing the cheek. Except that might be a bit too intimate.
