Murtagh is a very skilled swordsman. He saves Eragon, Saphira and Brom from the Ra'zac's ambush, and then accompanies Eragon and Saphira on their travels to the Varden after Brom's death. Murtagh is a very brave man, willing to risk his life to rescue Eragon from jail, Son of Morzan; rebelled after the Empire and is now on the run.

Yup!! I love his personality, especially when he BRAVELY rescue Brom and Eragon from the Ra'zac..I wish he was more in Eldest though. He does not come until pg 645!!!! ahhh!
