I never knew you were so defeatest. You could at least try to get a date from one of the lads. The best part of the gents society will probs not get a real person as their escort now.Im disappointed. And all the talk of the ball as well.

Dude, there will not be a bloke without an escort unless that is his choosing. Most of the girls are just waiting to be asked. Anyway, I believe it should be the men who ask, not the girls.

I believe that too as I think good old fashioned etiquette is important, but generalizing, u and me both know a lot of lads are borderline Autistic and linked only by the phrase "did u watch the match last nite?" We struggle to find the precise time an perosn and the masnner of asking. I didnt even know about the A-U ball till I was invited to go with someone. If you dont want to ask us, then drop some seriously obvious hints to us.
ive sed my bit now. Wooh. 8)

So, who are you going with? I'm assuming you are going with someone since you were invited.
Hmm.. good advice, but I'm still going to wait til one of the gentlemen ask me. I might have to drop some extreme hints though. We'll see.

*reads* 0.o Wow. Wasn't expecting that when I saw the British society had woken up again And yep, I have been relatively inactive, due to weight of school work, and several personal and family matters (namely, the death of my grandfather, and the ensuing problems ) However, come the winter holidays, I should have more time here. Fingers crossed! And therefore I will be able to attend the ball. Which I would attend anyway (I was at the comp in the early hours last time so I could meet my date Got in trouble for it too )
So... Where was I going? *remembers* Larael, if you are still interested, I would be most honoured if you would go to the Winter Ball with me.

hey! just found this, and can i please join? i'm from redditch (in worcestershire, just south of birmingham) but at the moment i'm living in leeds (studying at leeds uni). if you still want an english saying, i do say "it was terribly exciting!" (in a private school voice) an awful lot.

lunch sounds fabulous, darling. and i wasn't mocking, just trying to give some indication of how i talk (i didn't go to private school, but i'm forever being told i sound posh). i'm so jealous of you being from oxford - i absolutely adore the place, but unfortunately the uni didn't want me. i'm hoping to get down to visit again soon though.
