Menelaos' sword did hit Paris' stomach...but thankfully his armor protected him. Paris' jumped back in shock. "How dare you touch the Prince of Troy!" he shouted boastfully.
Looking back up toward Helen and then back down toward Menelaos, out of extreme rage and anger, he began to slash and swing irrationally at Menelaos' large frame.

Menelaos tried hard to not burst out in laughter at Paris' reaction. "How dare you touch the Queen of Sparta?" he said now being serious again.
When Paris came towards him at last, Menelaos brought up his sword to block his attack.

Hector was boiling in frustration. "Come on," he whispered. "Remember what our teachers taught us. Don't let emotion get in the way.." Then he remembered that Paris hardly paid any attention to the teachers. He sighed. Why do I always have to clean up my brother's mess, he thought as he watched his brother duel.

Paris' blows and swings continued to come one after the other. He was not focusing on proper battle techniques or anything he was originally taught. All he cared about at the moment, was to kill this ugly man before him. With shouts and grunts, he slashed about ten times before he backed away trying to catch his breath.

Helen gave up her countenance and fell from her seat and ran towards the railing and leaned over just so she could be closer to Paris.

Achilles watched this battle carefully. He said to patricles "This menelaous is just playing with the Prince. But he is underestimeting him, for the Prince has technique. he should be careful, for Paris is subtly trying to tire his heavier opponent."

Menelaos felt that he was getting tired quickly. He seemed to didn't have as much energy as in his younger years. He noticed that after a while it was getting harder for him to block Paris' attacks or to attack himself. When Paris backed away again, he stopped for one short moment to breathe, but then followed with another attack

Paris quickly blocked Menelaos' blow, but as he did, he fell onto one knee that dug into the sand. Menelaos was twice his size and the weight of his body had pushed him down.
Paris scrambled to stand up but tripped and landed on his side. He was not controlling his breathing...so he became more and more tired.

Menelaos smiled grimly when he saw Paris fall onto the ground. "Getting tired, boy?" he asked and prepared for another attack, now feeling stronger once more.

Paris tightened his jaw and became even more angry with this digusting man before him. "Tired? NEVER!" he shouted as he carelessly lashed out toward Menelaos swinging his sword near Menelaos' legs.

(Wow, it's hard to play a character I really dislike!)
Menelaos jumped when Paris brought his sword to his legs, so that it won't hit him. He really tried to not let Paris see that he was getting tired, but this was a tough job.
