The first CD I ever bought was the PotC soundtrack, but I got FotR for my birthday a while before that, and it was my first CD :) I love both of them, and PotC makes math SO much more enjoyable.

First I got the three-CD edition of the LotR Trilogy and then I got POTC 1. I'm hoping to get PotC 2 soon. :-D

I am totally a soundtrack nerd! I listen to DMC all the time in the car, and whatever when I'm on the computer. I also like the Invader Zim music.

I'm definitely a soundtrack junkie. It's incredibly rare that the music I have playing actually has lyrics, with the exception (like several others here) of occasional Christian bands (especially Casting Crowns!). I own all 3 LotR, both PotC, and all 6 SW, and I listen to them all about equally. I've been listening to a bit more SW lately to serve as inspiration for my fanfic, but I'm still very into my LotR and PotC as well.

And Mel, I don't know any of the modern singers either. :teehee:

Yesterday while setting up Christmas lights, I pulled out my mom's CD player, set it on the front porch, and blasted LotR and PotC. It was awesome. :-D My older sister said the neighbors would complain, but I didn't care. :-P

I like a bunch of music, but in the end, soundtracks are my very favorite. I'm a total soundtrack junkie. They're what I listen to most.

That's me. Well, it was. LOTR and POTC soundtracks really turned me into a soundtrack junkie. Ha ha ha. I still listen to POTC quite a bit...but I've kind of laid off the LOTR. Maybe because I listened to them SO much. I had had quite a bit of music before LOTR/POTC...so, I knew a lot of other stuff. But once I got into the habit of soundtracks, it kind of opened me up to look for other stuff. YAY FOR SOUNDTRACKS! :bounce: :)

*raises hand* :bounce: Me! Me! I'm a soundtrack geek!

I absolutely love PotC and LotR music, though I own neither soundtrack. (Those are on my Christmas list.) I do, however, have the PotO soundtrack, and it is basically all I ever listen or sing to. Period. Nothing else. (Except the occassional Christmas CD this time of year.)

I'm crazy :teehee:

Well, I listen to a lot of music stuff, but the LotR and PotC soundtracks make out about 50 percent of it.
When I got the LotR soundtracks, I listened to them for hours every day, during some months, until I could sing along with the whole CD :P

I can recognize any part of the three LotR soundtracks by just hearing a few seconds. Then once I listed off, in order, all the track names of the FotR soundtrack. I didn't find that very impressive, but it freaked my friends out!

Haha, I've done that before too. And once while listening to the soundtrack for FotR, I was able to tell my dad exactly what was going on. "Now they're walking into the large chamber in Khazad-dum. Wait for it, wait for it...duuum! Now they're hearing the orcs coming..."they have a cave troll"..." and so on. It was rather amusing.
I guess I must count myself on the soundtrack junkie list as well. I luuurve listening to soundtracks! Which means I am one of the few crazy people under 30 who likes classical music. :P LotR, PotC, Star Wars, Narnia, basically any movie with a good score is a favorite. Gladiator, Harry Potter, and video game music too. Sounds dorky, I know, but video game music is made from orchestras. So if you get the music (not directly from the game, then it sounds too electronic) it sounds REALLY good.

Howard Shore, definitely. He wrote the best music ever for the best movie ever, so you can't beat that. Hans Zimmer is awesome, too, but he kinda repeats himself with orchestral themes. (Listen to PotC, King Arthur and Gladiator in a row - they sound quite the same) :annoyed2:

^*agrees with FF*

Howard Shore rocks forever!

You know, there ought to be a soundtrack junkies club, if there isn't one already...

I have return of the jedi and Narnia too, but I'm a hugely critical music freak, so I mostly listen to the best (lotr, potc)
