I second that! :P Btw TN, your new poem is neat. It reminds me of My Last Breath, except from the other person's point of view. ;)

Edit: Just a thought, but if you want you could try pm-ing the people who haven't submitted their entries yet, just to remind them. Though maybe you already have and i wasn't aware, lol. Anyway, just a suggestion. ;)

Can I enter something I've used in another contest? I really did mean to write something but this deadline has snuck up on me...

*Whizzes off* Okay, here you go!

Where once hobbit feet had trod
Under the fading mallorn's golden leaves
From journey over land abroad
They stopped for briefest of reprieves.

Where once a dwarven axe had rested
In soaring Elven city bright
Minds and hearts and souls arrested
A refuge still from Lands of Night.

Where now leaves fall into the water
Ripples spreading outward still
What could be called fair Valinor's daughter
Lothlorien, the Elven realm tranquil.

Still here in Lorien, lingering in silent praise
Still here are wistful memories of better, brighter days.

Hmm, TN, I thought you had said you would change the deadline to the 3rd (at Turwaithiel's--sorrry if mispelled :/ -- request, i believe), so...anyway, i was just wondering if maybe you forgot or i misunderstood, which could certainly happen. ;) My entry's already in, but i didn't want the others to run out of time thinking they had a few more days. Anyway, if you could clear this up it'd be appreciated. :)

Sorry it took so long!

First I want to say that all entries were great, wonderful to read. It was really hard to decide how to rate them, that's why it took so long. I read all of them over and over again and this is what came out at last:

1st place: Meldawen  Congratulations! What I liked in your poem was that it was rhymed in a natural way, it's wonderful to read! I loved reading it!

2nd place: Fencing Maiden  I love the way you told this story, you did a great job!

3rd place: Turwaithiel Shadeslayer  Magical poem, I was fascinated by it!

HM: True Narnian  Your poem is wonderful, so sad that it really touched me!

And to Eariel Maurwen and The Nightingale: I wished there were more places to rate so that you'd also won something! You're entries also were so fabulous, I'm really sorry!
