I find it really funny that when Beleg tries to track Turin it takes him ages and he says "one might take this to be an elvish band"

Beleg must have seriously trained Turin, like night and day to get to that level of hiding lol.

I think Luthien was the best elf because she sang Melkor to sleep while Beren cut the Simrial from the iron crown and she gave up her immortality to be with Beren.

Justa foot note kinda thing, that is a seriously powerful dsong to put Melkor asleep. Sometimes Luthien doesnt get as much credit as she deserevs lol. I dunno lol.

Lol, Luthien far surpasses Eowyn. All Eowyn did was kill the Witch-king. Luthien not only had Sauron surrender to her, she enchanted Morgoth as well! That's a far greater accomplishment than simply killing a Nazgul.....plus, Luthien was way more beautiful than Eowyn (I'm a big Luthien fan).

No Eowyn-bashing please. T__T

I actually don't like elves as much as men, but seeing as this is the Silmarillion where a boat-load of the stuff is Elvish--Elves rock. I haven't finished it yet, and although I don't like him, I'd say Feanor. He made the Silmarils in the first place.

hehehe. i imagined him (Beleg) to be very tall, but oddly i imagined him with blond hair, but not long like other elves. i dunno why. but he has a short beard, like Aragorn....but i know that elves don't usually have beards like that...but that is how i imagined him...hehehe i dunno why... :-D

If you think about it, I wasn't bashing Eowyn, I was simply stating that Luthíen was way cooler.

Wow...Beleg with a beard. That's scary.

I agree with Larael however. I think there are certain similarities between the characters of Luthien and Eowyn, although, I also agree with Aerandir that Luthien surpasses Eowyn.
To the above conversation, I will have to say that Beleg sounds like the name of a Man rather than an Elf, at least to me. It's probably just because it reminds me of the names Beregond or Bergil from LOTR:ROTK.

Theres nowt wrong with being in love if u r with Luthien. I wont hold it against u :-D i think that Eowyn did afair bit cosidering whe werent part maiar against a ringwraith. they did relaetively similar things for their powers lol I think. As I sed b4, I htink it is just a a case of language with Beleg lol :) :-D
