just pondering, are metal bands a common feature in all scandinavian countries? finland, sweden and norway have good ones, but never heard any danish metal bands...

Norway: Enslaved, Dark Throne, Marduk, Behemoth, Immortal, Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Emperor, Blut Aus Nord,

Finland: Finntroll, Korpiklaani, Turisas, Nightwish, Tarot, Battlelore, Moonsorrow, Children of Bodom, Sinergy, Sonata Arctica, Wintersun, Ensiferum, Stratovarius, Kalmah, Norther

and that's just the bands I like lol

Aawww lol and like I said. The bands I posted were just the ones I liked. There are loads more out there that I have either not heard of or don't like.

I just love metal and metal from those three countries in particular. So I actively seek them out.

I've never been to my ancestoral home
It makes me quite sad. I do believe I will get there one day, I'd love to travel round all of Scandinavia and just take in the beauty of the place.

I claim heritage to Norway (half Norsk) and Sweden (1/8 Swede).

I visited Norway for three weeks last August with my family (my grandparents immigrated from Norway so we visited our relatives, etc. there, and even visited the valley that we're named after...it's so wierd seeing a road, a town, and a school with the same name that you have, especially when it's a very unique name). And let me tell you, Norway is GORGEOUS!
