Jeral took a deep breath inward and sighed.

"Because... you challenged me? And if you think your sleeve is bad... do you have any idea what utter humiliation it is to be shirtless with a mere rug for a cloak? This is the genteel kindness that Lady *drip drip went the sarcasm* Rosa showed me!"

He suddenly went closer to Rilion though, and whispered near his ear... "I say old fellow, since we've both got girls here and all, isn't this the most oppurtunest of oppurtune moments to show off a wee?"

Evidently the romantic (yet slightly phoney) accent was influential. Jeral waggled his eyebrows a tad, hint hint went his eyes.

"I say, my good man," replied Rilion, "It's a bally golden opportunity, wot wot!" And he stepped back dramatically to clang his sword against his opponent's, and considered discarding his shirt for full effect.

"Smashing!" cried Jeral gleefully, and did an extraordinarily high jump just for effect. "Indeed, your Royalty, indeed 'tis!"

He gave his sword a little twirl, and then decided that things might get a bit hot... so he might as well rid his companion of that jolly thick blouse. With a swift move, all the buttons went flying, and the whole thing shed right off.

[Hah, the way we're talking reminds me of Wallace and Gromit!]

((Oh, goodness, this is great!))

Azura watched from one side of the ballroom as the two men dueled with each other. She moved a bit closer, ready at any moment to run to the one who fell first and comfort him.

Bryne stood next to Alassea, watching the duel. Actually, nearly everyone in the room was watching. Only the musicians, who were playing a quite dramatic sonata, and a couple who had been locked in a kiss for the past 5 minutes weren't watching.

The violins in the orchestra bowed feverishly as there was an ahhh from the audience. Rilion stepped back, now shirtless. "You cad!" he cried melodramatically, and brandished his sword in mid-air. "I shall jolly well give you what-for for that - but wait, you haven't got a shirt! What a bally inconconvenience!"

"Oh drat£" she answered as she was challenged, then smiled. Ha this girl didn't know what she was in for, hoew could she think she would defeat the Lady Rose, greatest of warrors, farest of women, swiftest of chikens? She brandished her sword which seemed to have turned into a rubber chiken. Ahhh well she advanced thouwing of her cloack as she did so. As she sailed foreward, a wind blew in, spreding her shineing golden locks into the air behind her. "Arha me arties, this is the day you sall die arrrr" she yelled to all assembled.

(hey can the girls rip off ther cloths too?)

Being the superwoman she was, Lady Diana managed to admire Jeral's physique and keep her mind on her own battle at the same time. She stabbed her sword into the air, and holy fire ripped from the heavens to bestow upon it an immaculate light. Her shining golden hair caught shafts of nonexistant sunlight, blinding all in her august presence.

Men sighed, Cheez-its crunched, and doves flew into windows with harmonious splats.

(eh, no, I rather think the girls should keep their clothes ON, though cloaks are okay to rip off).

Jeral too, managed to keep his eye on the awing presence of his love as he swordplayed.

"She's a down right peach, she is."

Then, upon hearing Rilion's exclamation he cried, "Why blow me down, so I haven't! This is indeed a bunch of rot, swordfighting with no shirt as happy as ye please."

He spun 'round dramatically, and clanged his opponents sword with a thrilling flourish as if he was conducting orchestra rather than swordfighting.

"'Tis, 'tis indeed!" exclaimed Rilion, making his footwork perhaps a touch more complicated than it strictly needed to be. "Dash it, I say!" he added, as he flicked his sword around Jeral's and executed an elegant spin that somehow gave him time all at once to toss his handsome dark hair out of his face and then spring forward in a singularly dashing manner.

She sighed as around her eyevyone played around, danceing inbetween each other. This was stupid. Suddenly a black light fell around her and her eyes glowed (think evil Galadreil) she slowly advanced apon Dianh, sword winking cruely in the darkness she eminated, her eyes cold.

Oh, the beauty that surrounded Lady Diana! Oh, the grace and holiness and light! She defied the approaching darkness like a morning star, a sun shining in all its magnificence! She shouted a battle cry to a nonexistant god of justice and sprang upon the evil Rosa.

Everybody turned about, looking to see WHERE on earth the bongo drum noises were coming from!?

Bumpity thumpabump thump thump bumpity bonga bump

And suddenly everyone realized that the noise was none other than Jeral’s heart, beating passionately for his true love.

It was rather hard to keep beat with the orchestra, and Jeral’s heart wasn’t used to such exercise, so pretty soon the dramatic thumping died out. With increasing passion, Jeral swung his sword this way and that, raising it high above his head and bringing it CLANG down on his opponents blade. His messy brown hair hung anime-like in his face, and his eyes narrowed to little black slits.

“Ooooh!” swooned a group of teenage fan girls, who actually DROPPED their camera’s, desperately hoping he would die to catch one. Shattered camera pieces went everywhere, and one little piece flew and hit Jeral in one of his boldly-lined muscles on his chest. A single drop of blood squeezed it’s way out. Jeral continued fighting bravely.

Azura continued to stand back, watching the two men battle it out. She tried not to show it, but she was-erm...very impressed by the men's muscles.

Rilion was beginning to find this very tiresome, as frankly he had lost all interest in Rose and was beginning to wonder if there was really any reason at all for him to be fighting.

He executed a brilliant somersault in midair and rolled nimbly to Jeral's other side. "I say, old fellow, hadn't we better spice things up a bit?" he queried -

And as if on cue the biggest, scaliest, enormousest (okay, I know that was a little weird) dragon ever seen in the history of the world crashed through the roof and charred three violins to ash just as their owners shrieked and dropped them to run for their lives. The pianist remained desperately guarding her instrument - perhaps her solo had been approaching - but eventually she, too, fled and the piano (an ancient Yamaha that was priceless but nonetheless slightly out of tune) too was decimated.

"Tally-ho, wot!" cried Rilion, and charged forward. "Get the bally scoundrel!"

Azura smiled. At last a bit of excitement to spice up this otherwise rather dull ball. She drew her own sword out of her own thin air and let out a battle cry. [s]"Freedom!"[/s] "For the kingdom!" She ran towards the dragon, her dark hair flying out dramatically behind her.

Jeral had just been thinking how nice a new dragon head would look on his collection on his wall. So, in seeing this new monster, he perfectly beamed with pleasure, so much that his sword turned into a light saber.

"Now this is what *I* call action, old fellow!" he cried pleasantly to Rilion, as he dashed at the dragon fiercely.

And suddenly an idea alighted upon him like a falling towering! He gasped, and dashed up to the banister top with immense speed, and there, oh THERE! he leapt upon the back of the monster and slashed at it's neck fiercely, his feet planted.

[What!? Jeral, the most dashing and original human ever, steal a move from Legolas?! Don't be ridiculous.]
