I'm trying to decide whether to join, or just ramble around it... I'm kept quite busy with two forums as it is. But I'm very, very tempted to join.


Anyway, do we even have any J/E shippers on here? I don't think I've ever seen one... most of us seem to be W/E.

I'm surprised we don't have any, at least on this thread. Much as I disagree with it, I can't deny that J/E is indeed very popular, especially for those people who find Will boring (NOT ME) and would love to see Jack get the girl. I might even expect a N/E shipper or two - though that, I think, is extremely unlikely to actually happen considering the circumstances.

Actually, I think it would be very hard to have Elizabeth go off with anyone except Will, and yet have a satisfying ending for the poor guy. Unless, of course, he stabs the heart, and I don't know if this is canon but lots of people seem to think stabbing the heart = replacing the captain and going all fish-faced. And I think that would be very, very sad, to see the sweet, smitten Will Turner we all love (well, I love him, anyway) turn dark and Davy Jones.

EDIT: I keep scrolling down on the-site-that-can't-be-found-except-by-those-who-already-know-where-it-is to avoid this siggy banner...shield your eyes!

I don't know... I guess I'm pretty neutral on the issue as I wouldn't mind either way. Granted Will and Elizabeth are the picture perfect fairytale couple and it would be the most true to the story to have them end up together, but I guess the whole perfect couple is what I find so boring. I can also understand why Elizabeth would feel a slight attraction to Jack but I wanted to kill her for what she did to him after the kiss!

We must be very different, I wanted to kill Elizabeth for kissing him in the first place, and for a long time I was pretty darn upset with Jack himself, but I'm over it now. I just think it woudl be really sad if Will, who's adored Elizabeth for years, lost her just as he had really found her. I don't think Jack is really the type for Elizabeth, either - their personalities clash toooo much. Really, I prefer Jack on his own I'm no Strumpet shipper...

Well, I wouldn't, if I didn't have a suspicion that Jack hasn't brushed his teeth in, well, years...or if I wasn't positive that his breath didn't always smell of rum. Plus, she's engaged, for goodness' sake! What the heck is she doing kissing another man like that? That was no peck on the cheek...

As far as the whole Will becoming the next Davey Jones...boycot might be in order from this fan. I want a happy ending for Will.
An unhappy ending for Will probley wouldn't be a good idea on their part because I'm one of the fan girls who run out and wants to buy all of the stuff. Let's just say that I'm not so sure that I would continue doing that. Plus I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be the only one. Ooh, I would be so mad. No, Will as Davey Jones. (puts foot down)

ErulisseEnethNin, Well I think that it's kind of gross. Mainly because at the first she will kiss Will and then later she will run and kiss Jack. I find that gross. It's not really that kissing Jack (JD) would be gross just that kissing one and then the other is. If she truely wants to kiss Jack then she should be with him and not with Will. My opinion only, though.

You can't help what you feel. If you feel attracted to someone, that ring on your finger is not going to make the attraction go away. Now Jack's just trying to get lucky, to him it probably doesn't matter if it's Elizabeth, Scarlett, Giselle or any of the other Tortuga ladies he's fooled around with, although he probably has a stronger admiration for Elizabeth because she's different from the other ladies he's met and with her being "forbidden" fruit because she already has a guy, well that just makes her so much more appealing. I think it's the same way for Elizabeth, Jack is so different and so much more wild than any of the men she's encountered before and she probably can't help but admire him and want him.

Also don't forget, even though Elizabeth wanted to kiss Jack and probably enjoyed it, the main reason she actually did it was to distract Jack so she could chain him to the ship - and that's why I wanted to kill Elizabeth, for being so utterly selfish! Not only did she send Jack so a secure death (although we all know he's alive lol) but she broke poor Will's heart as well.

Yeah, she made a real mess of things, didn't she?

I cried for Will...but even so, I disagree with your first paragraph - maybe you can't help what you feel, but you sure can let the guy you're currently engaged to know before you go and make out with a different one! I think she should have had a bit more self-control, especially in the earlier scene on the Pearl where she's basically flirting with him and he's flirting right back.

Also, if he's the good man they all say he is, why did he make the comment about 'no dress' and basically ask her to marry him, when he knows she's about to be married to Will? That's wrong, no matter how you spin it.
