That they do.
Hmm..I know we've been keeping on topic pretty well, but I think it's about time for a subject change..and I'll change it, if I can think of something.

Raven Argetlam wrote: Thanks. And yeah, that's the one definitive thing I've noticed as I've read the Eragon thread in Movies and TV. They have so many different opinions of Eragon, and some of them not very pleasant.
Those thereads make me so sad. Poor Eragon. We are a small but mighty band of warriors standing up for him!
This topic just came to me: If you were a member of the Varden and this 15 year old kid showed up saying he was a dragon rider and on the good side, would you believe him? Or would you think he was a spy?
Personally, I would think Eragon was a spy at first. As far as we know, Galbatroix has kept the eggs and had probably captured the messenger carrying the last one (Arya). Then all of a sudden this kid says he's on the Varden's side?
But after I got to know Eragon, I think I would trust him. His character would vouch for him.

Yay for Eragon! *cough* Well, I love Eragon, and was hooked after learning more about it after hearing about the movie here on AU, which made me want to read the books, which I am currently working on, (I had to wait about a month for the library to have it available, but I am reading it...) And I am in love with it. And I do believe Eragon is my ultimate fav. Charrie. As he is to many a people. Can I join?
EDIT: *looks at last posting date* does anyone ever post here anymore?

It's cause now everyone's interested! They all want to read it cause of the few people like us who knew about it before the movie came out!

I know, but seriously, the movie had been talked about for months, mabye even a year, and there was at least two copies sitting on the shelf, and a few days later, when I went to go and put it on hold, I was already 4th in the waiting list!

Well, goes to show how popular something can be, especially when there's talk of a movie being made out of it. Of course, the books were popular beforehand, but still..

lol, we should have a RAWR! smiley...
And yeah, I would really like to say that I read the books WAAAAAY before the movie even came into some director/producer's head, but sadly, no. I heard about the movies, and thought, 'oh, thats cool... I wonder what its about...' And then I found the book at the library... And then, you guys know about the whole waiting list thing...

Well, I can't say I'm really looking forward to seeing Eragon (I am, a little, but not a lot--not like LotR), but I thought I'd rub it in that Eragon is playing in Theaters here....even if it is in Czech, not in English--yet.
