I know what you mean.
Well, I could tell you the codes of different font sizes and stuff, but I guess it would be quite confusing. So----the easiest thing is to do html only where you need html (like hyperlinks etc.) and make the rest with Paragraph Editor.
After having done the linkage stuff with raw html, click "done" and then edit again, but with Paragraph editor. That's pretty easy once you've figured it out.
Now for the "clickable word" thing:
For example, if I want to create a hyperlink (that's what it's called ) with a link to my site and the text Starspray, I write this code in the raw html paragraph:
Code: <a href="http://www.freewebs.com/starspray/">Starspray</a> For linked pictures, it's almost the same: When you upload a picture, you get a html code which goes like that (it doesn't matter if it's Photobucket or tinypic or whatever) Code: <a href="http://tinypic.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.tinypic.com/2l9qmxh.png" border="0" alt="Image and video hosting by TinyPic"></a> You change it to that: Code: <a href="http://www.freewebs.com/starspray" target="_blank"><img src="http://i10.tinypic.com/2l9qmxh.png" border="0" alt="Starspray"></a>
You enter this code in the Raw HTML Paragraph, click "Done". After that, you can edit again with Paragraph editor and type the other text like in a word document.
Hope that helped! If it didn't work, just ask again! I know how confusing html can be...

I know this is very random, but I love the new layout for the site. I just had to get that off my mind because it's really beautiful.

Yep, it is. I love snow and winter, though it can be quite hot in december where i live. Well, it alternates...hot for few days and then cold, and then hot again... (southern California) lol
Thank you very much, Forever! (Man, i've got to learn me some more html ) I'm not sure i have time to mess around with it right now, but i know it'll be there when i need it. The reason i asked about font size and new paragraphs was so i didn't have to separate (spelling?) the single paragraph i did into a whole bunch, though i will if need be.
This may be my last post on A-U till I get back from visiting extended family. *sob* I might get on for a bit tomorrow, and maybe while we're gone (there are computers there), but i don't want to gurantee anything. So that way, you'll be pleasantly surprised! Well anyway, be good to eachother, and post lots of really neat Frodo/Lij-related stuff while i'm gone. Have fun exploring my new site, too (at least you'll have a reminder of my presence, lol). Speaking of Lij, let's start coming up with ideas for celebrating his b-day next month, like we did for Frodo. So anyway...Merry Christmas! I love you!
Namarie for now.
"Don't say
We have come now to the end
White shores are calling
You and I will meet again"
(as near as i can remember)
Farewell for now, dear friends. (at least, if i don't get on tomorrow. Which is very possible.)

See you when you get back Eariel. Gosh, Christmas is so close now and I'm so excited.
Ah yes. I forgot that Lij's birthday was next month. We should do something special of course but I'm gonna' try to brainstorm ideas more around that time. I'll be out of the Christmas mood and be able to focus more on that than the holiday.

Bye Eariel! We'll all miss you! Have a very merry Christmas!
I agree with you Itarilde. I'll have more time to think about Lij's birthday plans after Christmas. Right now, I'm sort of overwhelmed with school work, Christmas shopping, Christmas plays, choral concerts, service projects and the like, so I haven't much time for this kind of thing. Sorry guys. I won't be on much at all this weekend.

Well, we can do some thinking after xmas then, i guess. (I am on--for a little bit--today, after all. ) I can't stay long, so bye (again!)

May I ask what the numbers are next to our names on the first page?

^ I think the numbers are the number in which we joined. For example, I am number 26 meaning that I was the 26th member to join.
Welcome hobbit fan! I love your avatar. It's very nice. Did you make it?
Just to vent this: I'm a Ringwraith now. I don't know whether to be happy or disappointed. I loved being an Elf you see. That's all I ever really wanted to be, since Elves are my favorite. But I think the wraiths are pretty cool as far as bad guys go, so that's good. I miss my Elfdom though.

^Gracias. I didn;t make either of mine either. The avatar was made by ForeverFrodo (). She's a brilliant graphics maker. And the banner was Gilraen Ringeril. She does excellent graphics as well. Just in case you didn't read my siggy. It happens.
So...... what do you guys think Frodo would want for Christmas, or I guess it would be Yuletide in the Shire? And how about Lij?
Sorry. Random topic since we don't really have one at the moment. If any of you have ideas, please disregard mine.

Hehe, well I still love em!
I think Frodo would want to visit all of his friends (him being in the grey havens). I bet Sam would love that!
Im not really sure what Elijah would want...hmm. Get another really good role in a movie such as in lotr?

What about getting a new girlfriend?
Ok, that was random, sorry.
I just roll on the floor when I think about TT's reaction when she first heard about Pam: "Please tell me that Pam is a stuffed alligator that Lij carries around with him"
Anyway, yeah. I returned from the dentist a few minutes ago and I'm not able to come up with something *cough* that makes sense *cough*
Btw, thanks for the compliment, TT! It makes me happy to come to A-U after a day's pause and to find something nice that you said about my graphics.
Btw, that's a lovely idea, hobbit_fan, that Frodo could visit all his friends in the Shire... Hm, but I'm quite sure that there's no return from the Undying Lands, so he'll have to wait for Sam to follow him. which is sad, but there's a certain beauty in this that I cannot possibly describe.

I know what you mean. (Hi everyone! I'm on the computer at my grandparents' house, tho i'm not sure how often i will be.) I think you're right about their being no return from the Undying Lands (and that being indescribably beautiful--like being completely out of reach of Earth's sorrow and care, i guess, to me) and that Frodo might just want some time with his loved ones for Yuletide. As for Lij...on A&F, i saw that one person had a siggy banner that had a picture of him, and it said all the things he supposedly might want for Christmas, including 'lots more cds of bands that no one ever heard of' and 'some jeans with even more holes in them' (or something like that.) Lol...Btw, Forever, remembering TT's comment about Pam the 'stuffed alligator' amuses me to...in a good way, you understand. Poor Pam. (Certainly the most attractive stuffed alligator around... )
I think we could recycle some of the ideas we used for Frodo's b-day, like posting pics, poetry, paragraphs (they all begin with 'P' ) about why we love him and stuff like that, and celebrating all month long.

^I 'gree with Eariel's ideas about the birthday celebration. Recycling is good for the environment and for our brains, since we don't have to work them as hard and can allow them to properly turn to mush over the Christmas break.
I agree that there is definitely beauty in intangibility. I've thought about that a lot. It seems like everyone wants to make sure that everything means something and that we fully understand everything, but I find it beautifully mysterious that there are some things we can never fully understand. There is defintiely know return from the Undting Lands, but who knows if you may meet the ones you love there, waiting for you someday?
I'm glad you all liked my comment. I certainly didn't know it would inspire that much mirth when I first posted it. It was purely the inspiration of the moment. I'm glad you guys liked it though.
I think that Frodo would definitely like to spend some time with his friends for Yuletide. I think that's really what we all want, or shoudl wnt anyway. As for Lij, CDs definitely. I don't know about a new girlfriend. he seems fairly enraptured with the one he has. Maybe another big role, but I think he's pretty happy with where he;s at in his career. Maybe some more bands to sign with his record label. Last time I heard, there weren't that many. I don't know. It was just something random to start a conversation, which I guess it sort of did. Therefore, it wasn't a total loss after all. Hooray!
By the way, when's good for you guys to begin the Lijah festivities? I was thinking New Year's actually, so we can bring in the new year with a good bit of Elijah. That's sure to mean it'll be a good year. But i you guys would rather start sooner or later, I'm up for that too. You guys decide.
I think that's all for now. Bya!

Haha he probably wants the new Smashing Pumpkins cd...if there is one And I think that would be a wonderful idea TT! (do you mind if I call you that along with everyone else) New Years sounds like a great day to celebrate! Yay for Elijah!
