Startled by the sudden appearance of a smiling girl standing in front of her, Arda tried to gain some composure. "I'm Arda," she said smiling and sticking her hand out for a hearty hand shake, "I'm not really looking for anyone persay, I was just trying to figure out who my escort is. I haven't seen him around, but I thought he'd be around here somewhere."

Audrey shook Arda's hand happily, "It might be a bit difficult finding your escort, especially if he decides not to reveal his identity" she said giggling.
"Would you like to come back to the punch table with me and have soemthing to drink?" she offered.

Arda chuckled,"Yes, I think I've figured that out by now, and of course I'd love to have a drink." She followed Audrey to the punch table, her long skirts sweeping the floor methodically.

Nimrodel walked over to the two ladies at the drink table. "Hello," she said, smiling.

"Hello there!" Arda said, smiling warmly at the newcomer and taking a sip of her drink.

Nimrodel sipped her sparkling juice. "I am Nimrodel of Lórien - and who are you two this evening?" She laughed, with a voice like falling water.

"Nimrodel.. what a lovely name. It suits you well," Arda said thoughtfully,"I am Arda for this evening."

Dr. Merrick noticed two more ladies approach and once again, greeted them politely and asked their names.

"I'm Arda," she said for at least the hundredth time that night. Knitting her brow thoughtfully she looked Dr. Merrick up and down quizically. There was just something about him that she couldn't put her finger on.

"Arda, a pleasure to meet you," Dr. Merrick said politely.

Celeb Dúlin walked into the Masquerade ballroom and looked around thoughtfully. "How strange it is not knowing anyone," she thought to herself.

Celeb walked over to where some others were congregated and introduced herself. "Hello, I'm Celeb Dúlin. And who are you?"

"Don't worry, there's dancing," Arda said gesturing toward the dance floor," You just have to make yourself aquainted and find a partner."

"It's so strange not to see any familiar faces," Nimrodel said, looking at all the partygoers, strangers, on the outside at least.
