Ok! Honesty, I have never heard of them before! I know Lij loves them but I have absolutely no idea who they are! But yes, i know he loves them, so it's a great idea.

Actually...... the Smashing Pumpkins are one of my favorite bands. I liked them long before liking Lij actually. Then I was so excited when I found out he loved them too. Just another of the lot of things I apparently have in common with him. They're wonderful. If you guys are into rock music, I'd definitely give them a listen. No, they don't have a new CD as they actually don't exist anymore. They broke up. Rumors are that they're reforming again, but I don't know if they actually are or what's going on. I hope they are. that would be great. But enough about the Smashing Pumpkins... this isn't their thread. It's Elijah and Frodo's.

Yes, you may call me TT, hobbit fan. Everyone does. It's much easier to type out. And I was actually talking about a day to start celebrating Elijah's birthday. We had at least a month of celebrating for Frodo's birthday you see,so we're all trying to think about what we should do to celebrate Lij's birthday on the .... 28th if I'm not mistaken. If you've got any ideas for anything else we should do to celebrate, I'm sure we'd all love to hear them.

Hah yeah we started talking about the smashing pumpkins because that is what we thought elijah would want for his birthday Im not really good with plans, but I would love to celebrate his birthday!

Welcome to the club, so to speak. I like your idea about beginning festivities on the New Year, TT. (I know how you feel--it's wonderful to find out you have something in common with someone you rather admire...to say the least. ) I believe you're right about his b-day being the 28th. In fact i'm pretty much sure of it. I guess we'll have to keep comming up with ideas...maybe we can raid A&F for photos. (Btw, i'm glad you're not offended by our being amused by your 'stuffed alligator' comment, TT. Lol i think a sense of humor is a good thing to have.)

It's definitely nice to find out you have stuff in common with people you admire.
And yep, a sense of humor always comes in handy. Especially in awkward situations, I've found. You can laugh your way out of almost anything.

Aw, thank you! *hugs back* (Btw, despite the fact that Frodo's my virtual partner on the A-U Family Tree, i suppose i'll let you two have him for the Winter Ball... lol just kidding. I will, tho. ) I agree, TT, it's good to be able to laugh yourself out of embarrasing situations, and also, i suppose, to not be easily embarrassed(which isn't completely easy for me, though i'm learning). That's cool about the cake, hobbit_fan--i'll have to persuade my family to do that! Last year we (the audience) sang happy birthday to him at ORC... *sighs wistfully*

Merry Christas everyone! Sorry I'm so late! I only cam on for a quick bit yesterday. I hope you guys all had the best Christmases imaginable and got everything you wanted, including some Elijah or Frodo related gifts, as those are certainly the best kind.

I made a cake for Frodo and I'll most likely do the same for Elijah. To be honest, I mihgt not though, since we already have so much junk food in our house left over from Christmas!

I, sadly, have never met a celebrity, and I'm not even sure what I'd do if I did. I mean, obviously it's a once in a lifetime thing, so I wouldn't want to just sit there and do nothing. However, I'd feel a little creepy and fangirly if I went up to them and started saying how much I liked them or asking them for a picture or their autograph. If it was me, I'd most likely spend the whole time debating on whether or not I ought to do anything and end up losing the opportunity I had to do it and kciking myself soundly for it later. It would be amazing to meet Lij though.
