Nurr sighed as she swept around the room with Mat. "This was a lovely Christmas," she remarked. As they stopped by a fire and small tree, Mat turned her face towards him. "Know what would make it even more special?" he asked, then kissed her.

As the music began once more Legolas turned to Elenriel. “Will you honor me with a dance dearest princess?” he asked as he offered her his hand. Elenriel flashed him a radiant smile. “The honor shall be mine, dashing prince.” she replied as she placed her hand in his and he led her on to the dance floor. The two began to dance gracefully to the melody, lost in the power of the song as they gazed tenderly into each other’s eyes. “Can we stroll through the gardens again?” she entreated as the song ended. Legolas smiled and nodded. “If that be your wish, let us do so.” he replied. With that Elenriel grabbed her cloak and the two stepped out into the crisp air.

Rupert led Amoniel by the hand into the Ballroom. People were dancing and laughing.
"Come on. Lets have a couple more dances before the ball ends." Rupert smiled staring into Amoniel's green-hazeish eyes.
"Yes please." Amoniel said. At this moment she felt like the pretteiest girl. They danced and had a good time and when the first song ended, Rupert leaned dowen for a kiss and Amoniel smiled and kissed him back. The world to seem to stop, and after what seemed like an eternity, they pulled apart.

(a good date has to have a kiss and i am a romantic even if i don't like to admit it!)

Larael swept in after Gwen still garbed in her masquerade ware, but minus the mask. She poured herself a glass of punch and sat down next to Gwen. "Have you seen Darrell lately?" she asked taking a sip.

Gwenneth frowned. "No, I haven't," she said. "It'd be nice to have a male or two in here to create more liveliness, wouldn't it?" She looked around the room.

Nurr slowly followed the others into the ballroom. She cought the tail end of Larael's question and turned. "Oh, I just spotted him floating around the Club area," she informed Larael. "I'm sure he'll be along at some point." She turned and walked toward the huge trees, peering into the branches to see if there were any people in them.

Daniel and Linwe walked onto the dance floor and started dancing to the song that was playing. Linwe smiled as they danced across the room. It felt like they were floating.

"Thanks Nurr," Larael said smoothing out her dress,"I hope he'll be along here shortly. Gwen's right, we do need some more males here to provide some entertainment." She sighed and took another sip of cider. "I might have to pull Erik out of the closet again if no one shows up."

Darrell meandered in slowly, taking off his cloak which had been shielding him from the cold weather. On his way over to where Larael, Gwen and Nurr were standing, he picked up a couple of glasses of warm fruit juice.

"Good afternoon ladies, I hope I find you well?". He offered one of the glasses in his hand to Larael, "Would you like a drink?".

Larael jumped up from her chair in excitement. "Darrell!" she exclaimed,"It's about time dear." She took the glass with a smile. He had no idea how much his presence had brightened her otherwise gloomy day.

"Hey Darrell," grinned Gwen. "Glad you could make it. I think we're all doing pretty well."

Darrell smiled at the enthusiastic greeting, "Good to hear you are well. And it indeed time I returned to the ball." He took a mouthful of his drink and looked outside. "D'you reckon it will snow soon?" he asked with a smirk.

"Oh I hope so," Larael said following his gaze. "We're in dire need of a good blizzard I believe."
