Jack still let his hand finger the water. As the situation looked, Jack was still in denial and wanted nothing of Davey Jones/Voo Doll to end up being true.
Therefore, even though the boat and nearly tipped over, he acted as though nothing ever happened.

"What on earth?!" Will said outloud. His eyes darted nervously back and forth as he looked at Gibbs, Portia, and Jack within a matter of 3 seconds. "What was that?" he said as he looked over the side of the boat.
There it went again! The boat rocked violently now to the left side. But this time, the creature slightly appeared from under the water with a large triangle fin sticking out of the surface. Then two more appeared underneath the water from the depths.

Portia gasped, as she saw fins. She looked up to Will nervously and held onto the side of the boat tightly. "We need ta make sure that Jack stays in this boat!" She said to Gibbs and Will.

Jack let out a sound as Gibbs suddenly yanked him up.
He looked angry and irritated. "Touch me 'gain Master Gibbs, and today will be the day Captain Jack Sparrow jumps o'er board!" he threatened with wild blind eyes.

"AYE! They are sharks! Stay near the center of the boat and try not to move!" Will shouted while he gave orders. He, himself, scooted closer to Gibbs and eyed the water nervously.
Without warning, a set of large sharp white jaws, came dashing up toward the side of the boat. Chomping down hard on the wood, the shark cut a large gaping hole in the boat.....allowing some salt water begin filling it up.

Portia gasped in surprise, when the shark snapped down its chompers on the boat. She swallowed hard and looked to Will, Jack and Gibbs. "What do we do, mates?!"

Jack looked upset. His head swung back and forth in utter puzzlement and confusion. "What's goin' on!" he shouted amongst the others cries.

Will's face was that of worry. He tried not to show it, but these sharks seemed relentless for some lunch. "It's sharks, Jack! Sharks! Try not to move or more water will fill into the boat!"
Leaning away from the direction of the hole in the boat, Will kept it afloat. But the sharks were persistent. This time, one of them surfaced its jaws out of the water and tried to bite Portia....luckily missing.

Portia screamed out of horror and quickly pulled away from the shark's jaws of death. "STOP BLOODY TRYIN' TA BITE ME!" She yelled at the shark.

Jack backed away from where he felt the water melt through his pants. "Don't move! Lie still!" he hollared out to the others just like a Captain would.
