Lol yeah I agree. Alot of the horse owners in the 4-H club werent too friendly. And not having a horse doesnt mean that you dont care enough about one. I have always loved horses, and wanted one, but my parents would never let me cuz they are sooo much money and all that stuff. But I have my own job now, and am alot more responsible, so FINALLY a few months ago I got my own!!

I know what you mean about some of the people at 4-H, but I have learnd to live with it. It is a bit crazy sometime. Hopfully I will move up in the circiute levels soon. I don't show much so it really does not matter, but it is fun.
Some of the people ride $35,000 horses and win everything, but it is still a good for learning a lot about horses. I have meet many of my friend in the circuite, but my fav. thing to do is trail ride which 4-H does not do. It the only time I can really gallop, instead of consetrading on my seat and what not.

Yeah my friend has a Friesian that was $15,000! I dont even know what she does with it. I cant believe someone would spend that much money though. I met alot of good people through 4-H as well, but when I stopped going I didnt really stay friends with them. But im lucky and I have 4 really good friends that love horses
^Happy New Year to you as well! By the way is that a Sheltie/Collie in your banner?

Yes that was me. Where I board my horse has a tack shop sponsor them and I think around here you have to have a sponser to go to high point show unless your like the rodeo queens and stuff. But I rode Ruby today and she was good at first but then towards the end he got bored of being in the round pen. So she would just stop and go inside after a while the person who owns the whole ranch told my dad to get me a hand bat to keep her in line with.
And during that whole ordeal my boots rudder huge gouges in my calves.... Stupid ropers.....

We slept in tents and then got to take care of the horses and show. A horse died at the one you went to?? Thats horrible!! What happened!! Congrats on winning in horsemanship and showmanship. I won a walk trot trail class, and some champion in showmanship. Thats when I was riding a little shetland pony I was in 4-H when I was in 5th grade but stopped in 8th because the horse I rode left to a different barn. Then I rode at another barn, and now I have my own horse!!
Thanks...the horse died of dehydration. It had been sick for a while and the girl who owned it wasn't supposed to run it on contesting night, but she did any way an the next day the horse got dehyrated and it died right on the grounds, inside a tent. It was so sad and I remeber there was a lot of people trying to go around and have a better look and one of my 4-h Advisors had to cut them off and tell them to go a different way. But it was stupid for it to die because the girl should have known better. Some kids were making fun of her for it, like it was reported that they tied a noose in the dead horse's stall. Cruel of what?

^That is horrible! The girl should have known better, but we all make mistakes. She probably felt awful. And people putting a noose in the stall is just wrong.
And I just wear regular black riding boots for riding.
Ohhh Shadowfax'sLastStand I want to see a picture of your horse!!
