Anybody else beside me see/read this amazing play by Oscar Wilde?

My friend, Arneth was just in a production of this. She was Gwendolen. I'm so proud of her! *hugs her lazy friend who never logs on*

i've seen the rupert everett/colin firth film, and i've also seen a stage production of it that some of my friends from college were in. the guy playing algernon in the college production was literally born for the part - i swear he played it better than rupert everett. i nearly fell of my seat laughing in the muffin part.

i love oscar wilde - sheer genious!

Muffins!

We all loved that scene so much we sold muffins after the play XD

The girl who played Lady Bracknell was amazing in the production I helped with. The perfect amount of coldness and loud, overprotective-ness. I'll see if I can get some of her lines on the internet, because she did really well.

I loved the movie. I love Colin Firth, so I had to see the movie, and I loved it very much. I actually made my mum go out and buy me English muffins because I was craving them so badly after seeing that movie.
I read a little bit of the play, but I don't actually own the book. I should get it. It seemed as thought the movie and the play were very similar though. The lines were almost all exactly the same of what I read.

^That's quite alright. It made me laugh.

I shall definitely have to get the play now. Maybe some other stuff by him as well. It's so weird, but every time I think about Oscar Wilde I think about how Orlando Bloom was in that movie about him. I think it must be an aftereffect of my past Orlando obsession. Those are things you never really get over. :P
