Nakaida squeezed her eyes shut, determined not to let them see her crying, and opened them again once she'd got some modicum of self-control imposed. Teeth clenched, she didn't resist the soldier's prodding - but something inside her felt empty, as though in order to escape the agony she'd stopped feeling it altogether.

The soldiers holding the Keepers shoved them towards the side of the citadel facing the sea. They unbarred a door at the base of a tower to reveal a winding staircase dimly lit by sconces.

Meanwhile, the other soldiers thrust open a trapdoor at the base of the wall and led Khienro, Aeryn, and Orindil into the dungeons.

Aeryn still struggled to get free, but he remembered yelling at Naidele, whom he felt he could connect too, "Don't give in! We will be fine!!" Before they lead him away.

Just became a college freshman; be on sparingly

Naidele read the words on Khienro's lips. She tried to gather what courage was left in her. It was hard. She felt as if everything was over. They were now in the hands of Okandar. "No," she whispered to herself, "I can't lose hope. I can't."

As Khienro, Aeryn, and Orindil were roughly led out of sight, she heard Aeryn yelling at her. She tried to turn her head to look at him, but one of the two demons pulling her along twisted her arm painfully causing her to keep going forward.

She looked over at her sister. Nakaida had her eyes squeezed shut and her teeth clenched. Naidele could tell that she had withdrawn. She saw the empty look on her face. She wished that they could comfort each other but with the demons there pushing and prodding them, there was no way.

"We'll think of something, Nakaida," she said, trying to assure herself as well as her sister, "We will."

I'm back!

Khienro grimaced as one of the soldiers slammed him into a wall, hitting his broken wrist. Once they were in the dongeouns, wich had very little in them - a few untidy, uncomfortable stone beds with one blanket each, and a few logs which Khienro presumed to be 'chairs'.

After all the guards had left. Khienro sank back in one of the corners.

"What are we supposed to do? I promised to protect Naidele and Naikada... And I've failed... I've failed so misrebly..." He thought back to the look on Naidele's face as they were being shoved away from each other. At the remeberance of this, Khienro suddenly realized that he had some sort of... Feelings... For Naidele, and although he had no idea what kind of feelings, (And he did not want to think about that now, at a time like this) He knew he had promised to, and wanted to protect her. Looking over at Orindil and Aeryn, he sighed.

"Well... Now that we've skrewed up... What next?" He asked, not really expecting an answer as he stared at a small pebble which he found oddly interesting.

Aeryn, his head sore and dizzy, stood. "We can just wait for them to kill us and them...we must get out of here...quickly..." He started feeling his hands along the wall, but the darkness cause it to be hard to see.

Gabilon lead the way and held a torch as it is locked and the keepers were abandoned in the darkness of the prison. "Enjoy your day, keepers since you shall not enjoy another one". He turned to the guards. "Be careful and take care of them. Am I understood?" Guards simply nodded. "Give something to eat them, make it cut-and-dried." he looked at the prisoners, "I do not want you to kill but this is my master's order" he said and walked upstairs.

(Meldawen, I think we've just been led into a dungeon, and if I'm not mistaken, Raven's character is meant to be there also....? Pearl, that's ok... ummm... I guess since neither you or Aerwen have posted in a while we could just pretend that both of your guy's characters have been captured also along the way, and then we'd all be together. *shrugs*)

"Doesn't want to kill us," repeated Nakaida bitterly, as the door shut behind them. The room was very dim, its only light coming palely through a tiny barred window high in the wall. "Liar."

She swallowed and sank slowly to the stone floor. Things just kept going wrong - what else could happen?

(Here, I'm just going to reunite all the sisters. Sorry if this messes anyone up, but it would probably be much better if we all knew what was going on. Lol.)

Naidele stared silently as the door closed behind the man. Then she dropped to the hard floor beside Nakaida. She put her arm around her shoulder, both wanting to comfort Nakaida and seeking it herself.

She wanted to cry, but she knew she couldn't let herself start that. She was afraid if she let even a few tears come that she wouldn't be able to make them stop.

How could things have gone so terribly wrong? Her thoughts shifted to Khienro, Aeryn, and Orindil. What would happen to them? She couldn't bear to think about it. She thought about Khienro mostly. She didn't want anything to happen to any of them, but him.... She felt something special for him.

Suddenly, the dungeon door burst open again. Three people were thrown inside. Naidele jumped to her feet when she recognized who they were. It was their sisters.

(Cue Raven, Aerwen, and Pearl. I really hope that didn't mess anyone up. My apologies if it did.)

"Alayna!" gasped Nakaida. She looked a fright, eyes red from crying and face very pale. "Amadahi! Silvanna! Are you all right?!"
