Luke looked at Abby to hush her. "They...left..here, come to me...I'm going to take you two on an adventure!" He looked into they children's eyes and then said, "What are your names?"

Daniel turned his stare away from the ground and looked at Luke. "I'm Daniel." he said in a quiet voice.

"Oh" Daniel said. "Did he..." The boy trailed off, glancing towards his own wagon. His father lay on the other side of it, and Daniel was starting to realize that he wasn't coming back.

Abby looked at daniel and had sympathy for him. the little girl stayed in the spot where they had first seen her. the little girl was 4, she had bright blonde curls and her name was sarah. she looked at luke, she looked scared she didn't want to go to him. abby saw the look on the childs face and understood, i mean luke did have gun shot wounds and he was holding a gun. Abby walked over to her. sarah was holding a little doll. "honey what's your name?" abby said in a quiet voice getting down on her knees in front of the child.
"m-my name is sarah." she said in a little four year old voice. " where is my mommy?" sarah said almost wimpering. Abby picked up sarah and held her. " honey your mommy isn't here anymore. but like my brother luke said. were going on an adventure. would you like that?" Abby tried to get sarah's mind off her parents.
sarah nodded. " are we going to find my mommy and daddy?" Abby then looked at luke not sure what to say.

Luke couldn't say anything to that, and looked at Daniel for support. He felt that Daniel could brake it easily to her.

Sarah thought for a moment. " wait a min i bet there just playing hide and seek with me." Sarah ran over to her wagon and saw he parents laying dead on the ground. Abby ran to her and tired to stop her but was too late. Sarah saw the blood stains and the gunshot wounds. she just stood there in shock.

Luke couldn't say anything. Then, he thought he heard something in the distance. He touched Abby's shoulder and said, "Come, Abby. We must leave quickly. We need to pack all we need in the wagon and go!"

Daniel nodded and ran over to his wagon. He clambered into the back and started looking around for what he should take.
