It hasn't been announced yet. The most popular theory is Empire though. I can't decide if I want Murtagh to stay bad or turn back good. Although technically, he isn't all bad. Galbatorix knows his true name, so he's kind of in a hard spot. But at LoR so nicely pointed out, he's cuter when he's bad!

Most Definitly not!! Murtagh is a good guy.. it would be kinda cool if he saved Eragon's butt once again and wound up killing Galbatorix... the Murtagh would be the hero!!

i am reading the Eldest and OMG, i read ahead a little bit to where Murtagh is not dead . I nearly cried! I swear my heart stopped when i read it, Murtagh, a DRAGON RIDER??!!?? I think i am still in shock! I am anxiously waiting to get to that part, i want to read more but sadly i am only at the part where Eragon meets the other Dragon Rider...  _________________ <center>

I don't no what Murtagh will do. When my freind told me what he does in Eldest I got mad and hit a hay bale in the barn with a riding crop.lol
