Dae slipped past the wards and guards at the edge of the forest far too easily. No wonder there were orcs here. No matter, she had a job to do. Her employer wanted the elf dead, and that was the end of it. Of course, the longer she took, the more she got paid. Perhaps an infiltration, then a betrayl...just as Uruvion had betrayed her. Having made up her mind, Dae leaped into the nearest try, made her way as close to the top as possible, and closed her eyes. While she did not need sleep, meditation would help her sometimes-confused mind realize what her cold, dead heart already knew-this was just another assassination.
(i was thinking my charry could be working for whatever evil is in charge of the orcs, if that's okay)

[Welcome, Jyotika! ^^]
A faint smile passed across Maralyn’s face. “This is the same house my parents lived in long ago. My brother worked hard to get it back.” She chuckled quietly, then motioned for Lilaine to follow her. “Let me show you to the spare room,” she said, then began climbing up the stairs.

As Dae reached out with her mind, she felt the presence of several orcs nearby. Though they could possibly help her, they would more likely be a hindrance to her infiltration plans. Opening her eyes, she quickly made her way east. Seeing the orcs ahead, she drew her katanas and strolled among them. Their leader turned to address her-not kill her, he'd already seen the mark on her cloak, the mark that meant they were allies-and fell, stone dead, as she pulled back her swords. Within moments, the half-score of orcs were dead. She cleaned the blades on the grass, sheathed them, and returned to her perch to wait for the opportune moment.

Lilaine followed Maralyn up the stairs. she slilenced herself not wanting her talk to wake the others. Lilaine thought about a bed. she was very tired and hadn't slept in about two days. she had been travling all that time.

Waiting was probably the most boring part of her job, Dae reflected. Having decided thus, she pulled the crest from her cloak and slowly wandered deeper in the the populated areas of the forest, taking care to look as exhausted and injured as possible.

[I'm going to have to drop out of this RP Maralyn, I'm really sorry. I just don't have time for RPs now because of school.]

[Awww, we'll miss you, Este. I totally understand about school, though; your studies are way more important than anything on the internet. Good luck!]
The two Elves silently crossed the upstairs hall and reached a small door. Maralyn opened it quietly, motioning for Lilaine to go inside. "This is where you'll be sleeping," she said with a smile, "there's a chest of drawers in the corner where you can store your belongings."

(Hey everyone! I'm back!)
Alendariel rode into Imladris, three thousand of her kin behind her. She turned Galadelen to face their captain. "I must go tell the Lady Maralyn we have arrived. Assemble the food and supplies and then I shall ask where we might set up an armory." she instructed as she dismounted. She handed the reins off to one of the hostlers that had travelled with them, and hurried to find Maralyn.
Alendariel hurried into the house, hoping earnestly she had not disturbed anyone. She glanced down a hall on the second floor and smiled with relief.
"Mae govannen, Lady Maralyn." she said, jogging over. "I have brought our relief force. More should arrive within the week."

Alendariel gave a pained smile. "They are from the of the kingdom of my in-laws. They despise me. But they will fight, that is certain."

The corners of Maralyn's lips turned upwards in a smile upon hearing Alendariel's news. "Your tidings bring joy to my heart, mellon nin," she said, "When can you be ready to set out?"

Alendariel glanced out a window to the assembled party below. "As soon as you are ready for them." She swallowed. "I fear they will only take orders from me - they were...reluctant, shall we say to come. They will be indignant if they are instructed by someone else. I hope this shall not prove to be a problem. That was the one thing they had me swear to before they agreed to come."

"No need to fret about such things," Maralyn replied, smiling faintly, "I lack the experience to lead such an army, and since they will only listen to you, the matter is settled." She turned her gaze to the window, where a crescent moon shone over the Elven city. "We should all get a restful night's sleep, and tomorrow, if everything has been settled properly, we shall set out."
