Elizabeth looked back to Will's face and caressed his hair, "William? William...wake up..." -------------------------
Will stopped twitching and shaking. He was now moaning and trying to open his eyes.

Davey Jones snarled and leaned in towards Beckett, "The Dutchman only sails'a as it's Capt'ain commands'a!"
_____________
For once, Jack's cocky smirk was no longer plastered on the younger pirate's face. It had washed away with Bootstrap Bill's words of sorrow, depression, anger, hate, and pain.
Jack Sparrow said not a word back to the man, instead, remained hidden in silence feeling the tingle of another growth quietly appear over his face.

Bootstrap finally let go of Jack, releasing the pirate's arms as he turned away momentarily. He was painfully aware of the fact that his mutation was speeding up again, but he'd learned to more or less ignore the stabbing pain of each new growth. He didn't care any more how much it hurt or how it looked. He'd been cursed a few too many times to care much for appearances any more. He didn't care that his skin felt like it had knives protruding through it. He didn't care that his face had long been obscured past recognition. He just didn't care any more.
"You have t' understand, Jack," he finally said, turning back around. "Will's all I've got. He's the only tie I have to my mortal life. The only reminder that I was, at some point, human. An' I don't want t' lose that, Jack. It's all I've got."

"Ah, but its captain is to sail as comanded," Beckett replied in a smooth, but firm, tone. "Something, Captain Jones, that you seem to have failed to do. I left explicit instructions upon my departure. Why have they not been followed?"

Will's eyes finally opened and rested on Tia's face and then on Elizabeth's. "Where's Jack?" were the first words that were out of his mouth. -----------------------------
Elizabeth leaned in closer and cradled his head, "Oh Will! I'm so glad you're all right. Jack is with your father....I think he's getting quite a lecture." She smiled jokingly, but then her smile faded as she looked at Will's hand. "Oh my God, William! Your hand! It's burned!"

"I'm sorry, Lord Beckett. But are you saying I'm not doing my job?" Norrington cut in before Davey Jones could answer. "If I remember your orders, I am to Command the Flying Dutchman. To question Jones, is to question me. We were in route to Tortuga, when we came across another pirate ship and dresroyed it. And now you hail us, slowing us down even more. May I ask why?, " Demanded Norrington, in a forced calm. Now standing between Jones and Beckett without realizing it. He was Furious. His career, his loyality was being questioned again. And he had just gotten it back, why he didn't dare mention Sparrow missing.

"I am exterminatin' pirates'a! As commanded'a by the comp'any!" Jones protested against Lord Beckett.
His attention was then drawn to Norrington, who now stood in between the two of them. Davey Jones snapped his claw shut in a frustrated mannor, as he listened to every word the man had to say. His cold eyes turned their gaze from James, to Lord Beckett.

Jack's charcoaled eyes shifted side to side. The eyebrows above them seemed to frown; as if Captain Sparrow was finally feeling some sympathy for old Boostrap Bill Turner and had understood the man's point.
"It's funny what a man will do for an offspring...'specially a eunuch of a one." Jack said with a tone before he started to try and remove himself from the wall; for you must remember, his fin was caught dead into the wood.

"Forgive me, Admiral Norrington. Are you not content?" Beckett shot back dryly. "Do you find that this occupation is not to your liking? Because if that is the case, you needn't worry. We can simply arrage for you to be dropped off at the very next port to survive by whatever means you deem fitting. I'm certain you could find a job somewhere, though perhaps not quite so profitable as the position you held with Jack Sparrow." He paused to look around at the crew. "Speaking of whom, Captain Jones, where is he?"

"Aye, because I've already given 'im so much," Bootstrap muttered. "Left 'im orhpaned and penniless, with naught to 'is name but a single cursed medallion that started this whole business t' begin with. Add that to th' scars now marring 'is back, an'...aye. Truly wonderful gifts I've given 'im." He scoffed, shaking his head slightly. "Some father I am."

Looking down to his hand, Will tried to sit up, but failed. Instead he just brought his hand toward his eyes. His fingers looked almost black and the palm of his hand was bright red....as if the second layer of skin had been burned off. "Oh bloody...." he muttered under his breath. Lowering his hand gently onto his stomach, he laid his head back on the deck and gritted his teeth. ----------------------------------------------
Elizabeth looked to Will and said, "Oh Will! I'm so sorry...please forgive me."

Davey Jones' gritted his teeth and his eyes twitched a blink.
"And what'a do ye want wit'h Sparr'aw?" The Captain asked twisting his head to the side, while his long tentacles started to toil this way and that.

"No..not a father mate.."
Jack said finally breaking through the wood, and popping out his fin finally. He stumbled out of the debris and gently dusted his coat off.
"Not a father." he repeated as he started to swagger himself up to Bill Turner until he stood, face to face with him. "A pirate..." he flashed his mutant set of teeth with a taunting smirk at Bootstrap's face.

Beckett simply raised a knowing eyebrow. "I merely find it odd that he would not be standing with the rest of your crew. They are all here, and so I ask again: Where is he?"

Bootstrap stared down at Jack, furrowing his brow as the pirate's words sunk in. He opened his mouth to respond, only to snap it shut again. Finally, he cleared his throat and turned to leave. "I'm goin' t' go see how Will's doin'," he said quietly, striding out of the cabin.

"It'll be fine," Tia assured them, waving Elizabeth away dismissively. She reached into a pouch hanging from her belt and produced a small bottle of a paste-like substance. "Gimme your 'and," she demanded, even while grabbing the hand for herself and beginning to delicately apply the paste. Once the major areas of the burn had been covered, she took a few strips of fabric and began to tightly bind it. "That'll 'elp wit' de pain. It should begin to heal soon an' be better wit'in a few days. No need ta worry, aye?"

"Well then Lord Beckett, I assume, I can send word to the King, right now and settle this manner in an instant, no matter what you do, no matter what you think. Can I not, Captain Jones? And as for Sparrow, he's currently acting in Jones' stead for something important. Don't bother threating him. He's still got the upper, ah crab claw in this. As do I." Norrington replied, drly going after Jones and Beckett. He wasn't willingly defending Jones, but it was a side effect of his current position. Even though it may be helpful in the end.

"Regrettably, Admiral, I believe that you'll find my standing with the King to be far higher than your own," Beckett replied firmly, never raising his voice or displaying any outward sign of his displeasure. "But that shall be discussed further at a more appropriate time, and in a more secure setting. Until then, the problem remains of my orders not being followed. I did not order you to Tortuga; that was your own interpretation of the command. I did, however, order you to destroy any and all pirate threats that you encountered. How is it, then, that only hours ago we passed a well-armed ship bearing no colors whatsoever? As the Endeavor is not currently fully armed, we left her for you to eradicate, but clearly the Dutchman has been somewhat remiss in her duties of late. Therefore, I shall be personally overseeing the workings of the Dutchman until the situation is rectified. I am a very busy man, so pray that -for both your sake and mine- my time here is brief."

"Oh Really, now? You may of not ordered us to Tortuga, but I do know, while I and your assitant Mr. Mercer were talking while we were there. That there was bounty of Pirate ships on there way today. And as for the ship you encounted, it must've been beyond the horizon. You cannot accuse one, of a ship that one could not see. And if you want it to be delt with now, we can surely hunt her down now. Or we can let loose the Kraken." Replied Norrington in still a forced calm. Hiding his disbelief. How dare he accuse me, of not doing my job. Stepping on my career. What's he playing at. Surely he's got more better things to do. Norrington thought, trying to figure out the next step in this chess game with Beckett.

Davey Jones observed the situation, and what the two mortals had to say about one anothers regulations.
He said not a word, nor did he want to. Instead Captain Jones was rather pleased this conversation, now between Lord Beckett and James Norrington, had strayed off the subject of Jack Sparrow's whereabouts.

Jack watched Bill stride away. "So will I..." he said in a scornful fatherly tone as he too waltzed himself up the stairs and onto the main deck, then taking a stand at Bootstrap's side.

Will yelped as Tia rubbed the pasty ointment into his hand. Once she had bandaged it, it felt much better, but it still burned...
Elizabeth helped Will sit upright and she looked into his eyes, "I'm so sorry, Will.....I shouldn't have......" She then stopped and looked to Bootstrap and Jack who were now standing on deck near her and Will.
Will turned his head to find his father and Jack. He did not say a word to either of them, but instead tried to stand up with his legs twitching.

Bootstrap cleared his throat uncertainly. "...You doin' alright, Will?" he asked haltingly.
"Him fine," Tia replied casually, returning the small bottle to its pouch and standing up. "'E's a strong one. Not ev'ry mortal could come outta dat so well."
"Aye, well, Turners do seem t' have a penchant for survivin' far longer'n they have any right to." Bootstrap grinned humorlessly and hurried over to help Will stand. As an afterthought, he added, "Convenient, as we also have a penchant for landin' ourselves in life-threatenin' situations."

Beckett's dark eyes fixed themselves steadily on Norrington, his mouth forming a tight, thin line. "You would do well, Admiral, to recall who has the upper hand here," he said, his voice low, yet unwavering. "Mister Mercer!"
Mercer promptly stepped forward, at the same time drawing his well-concealed dagger. He quickly opened the small chest and angled the knife toward the heart, allowing the sharp tip to just barely come in contact with it.
Nodding slightly in Mercer's direction, Beckett continued. "Now, Captain Jones, I will ask one more time: Where is Jack Sparrow?"
