OK this is a really good song by Sarek - one of my favorite Swedish groups (they sing folkmusic mixed with popbeats). The song is called "Älvorna" which means "The Elves". The song is very folkmusic-ish with an awesome beat behind it.

Well he was inspired a lot by Scandinavian Folklore (as well as Celtic Folklore) but I don't know... We have known about Elves for hundreds and hundreds of years

Yeah, my computer doesn't support like ANY media players AT ALL. It's actually one of the old computers that my Dad picked up from the school he works at, and though the internet is all right, it basically can't do anything else. Heh! So is my brother with the computer HE bought. He's got a job doing yard-work around the area, and he's putting every penny of it into buying that thing. Unfortunately, it won't let me play it but yes, Tolkien definitely got some of his inspiration to his writings from the Scandinavian folklore. We've had stories about trolls, elves, dwarves, wizards and such, through hundreds of years.
