Halt leaned against a pole a few yards away from the courtyard.
He watched the youths that were talking about choosing day, He was still debating on which ones would make suitable(sp?) rangers and which wouldn't be cut out for it...
It would definatly take alot more thought this year.

(just so you know Rolyn is not a real charrie, he's just there to support the plot, so don't accident;y choose him)
Rolyn feinted and knoked Jhor down, his sword ready to strike when Jhor kicked him in the stomach and had his own sword at his trought. "Jhor that was cheating."
"No just fighting dirty"
"Something you excell at" Laughed Rolyn, Jhor gave a little bow and walked over towards Bryn.

Halt suddenly remembered that he had to meet Gilan by the gate.
He took one last look at the youngins and then sprinted to the gate.
Halt waved a greeting to Gilan as he approached.(sp?)

Eilaga ate an apple while watching the others with a keep eye. She didn't feel like being noticed, it being choosing day and wanting to straiten her thoughts. She watched as a man on the other side of the courtyard left, heading tward the gate, while others spared and asked others if they were ready...

Jhor went and stood at the head of the line, claiming the title of tallest. Rolyn however stood at the other end, laughing as he acepted his shortness.

Eilaga went to the middle of te line, knowing she was niether tallest of shortest. The boy infront of her was shorter than her only by a hair...

waiting for the choosing Anryn looked around to see everyone in line but remembered to stand still to make her look more official so mybe she would get picked.
