Helen visibly flinched when she was yelled at, backing away from Paris. She sighed and knew what it must feel like to be invisible, but Paris was not a warrior, he was a lover and a Prince of the realm.

Hector rode out towards the battle where the Trojans were slowly gaining ground against the Greeks. He brought his sword against a Greek warrior who apparently had no idea who he was.

Pulling himself closer to the head of the bed, he rested up against some cushions and touched his leg gently.

Pairs did not respond, but simply shut his eyes in pain. He had just rudely addressed Helen...the woman he loved more than anything.....
Sighing and after lying on the bed silently for about a minute, Paris softly called his lover to him, "Helen....please come here...." He tried to sit up but decided it was best to remain lying down.

SHe heard the softeness in Paris's voice and decided to go to him. She stood up and pulled the hood back over her features walking back into Paris's room and stood beside the bed.

Paris beckoned her closer to him, "I am sorry...... I......" He turned his gaze away from her sadly and then looked back to her, "Why did you choose me? I am not deserving of you."

Gently reaching upward, Paris touched Helen's golden curls, "I'm sorry my love."
He caressed her back with one hand and then rested his head on a pillow, as he listened to the shouts of Trojans and Greeks outside.

Paris rested his hand on her shoulder and rubbed it gently. With his eyes cast out of the balcony window, his thoughts turned to his brother, Hector, who was fighting in the battle. "I do hope, Hector comes back to us."
As Paris spoke, there was a knock on the chamber door.

Paris looked to the chamber door and watched as two handmaidens stepped into the room with their heads slightly bowed to Helen and Paris. In their hands they carried cloths, bandage strips, a bowl of water, and a needle and thread.
One of them finally spoke up, "We were ordered to bring you the medical materials that a doctor would use to assist his highness."
The other one barely made eye contact with Helen and said, "Pardon, my lady, but there are no doctors...they are assisting injured soldiers."
Laying the items at the foot of the bed, they bowed and quickly rushed out of the room.
