The Commandant sat in the command chair as his fleet leveled what was left of Manhattan. He himself would soon come down to search for humans.

Kate cowered in a corner of the lab. She winced in pain as she tried to move her wrist. She was sure she had at least sprained it when she fell in her haste to get into the lab.

She looked around at all the other people who had managed to get into the lab. Everyone was afraid. Hope was gone. She shivered as she watched the light flicker on and off. She wondered if she would survive this nightmare. The chances of that looked doubtful.

Marie couged, breaking the rather uncomfortable silence. She looked around for someone she knew, not finding anyone. The ground was littered in broken glass (correct me if I'm wrong) and she didn't dare move, in case... they... were in the building.

Commandant Zrgst entered his tripod (bwahahahaha.....) and began a steady stride through an area of low rise buildings, destroying the lifeless area. Of course when he found life he would kill them with his bare hands.

Bryce coughed loudly as he looked around in the darkness. A huge piece of lose metal rumble pinned his leg to the ground. He was in a dark corner of the lab and he heard voices. He didn't know where his sister, Keria, was yet. "Help!" He called, coughing again as blood ran down the side of his head. "Somebody!"

Lindsay looked up. She heard coughing, and someone yelling for help. She walked towards the sound. A figure sat in a corner, a large metal object on them.
"Are you allright?" Lindsay asked. She thought about what she was doing. She didn't want to be a hero, she just wanted to help the people who were seriously injured. Someone had to.
"What's your name?" She asked calmly, kneeling down in front of him. "I'm going to help you get this off your leg," Lindsay winced. She couldn't imagine how painful it was. "My name's Lindsay, I'm a nurse. I have some painkillers in my purse, wherever it is. And whatever's out there," Lindsay looked at the ceiling. "You'll want to be prepared."

Ariel looked about the dark room. She could see people, shadows of people everywhere... but wasn't quite sure whom to go to. She heard the cough though, and made her way carefully over to Bryce. There was a woman kneeling beside him.

"Are you two okay?" she asked huskily, trying to think of someone other than herself for once.

The Alien commander reached a large complex, mostly underground, that had life signs within it. He left his tripod to begin cutting away at ruins with a laser cutter.

Marie shuddered and crept away from the corner she was hiding in. "Um," she started to say, "I hope nobody's hurt too badly..."
She was aware that it sounded lame, and most likely was false, but atleast it was something.

Age: 20
Appearance: Average height, short brown hair, milky blue eyes due to her blindness

Rachel was huddled in a corner of the lab, her arms wrapped around her legs. She didn't know where she was, just that someone had grabbed her by the hand and pulled her into the room. She heard people talking and slowly got up, feeling the wall for support. "Hello?" she called out hesitantly.
Another noise caught her attention. Her heart sank as she recognized it-the aliens' lasers.

Hannah was sitting in the corner of the lab, still in a high state of shock, trembling and watching the light going on and off. Her clothes were dirty and torn, her blonde hair hung into her eyes, blood was running down her face. She could barely remember anything, only that the only thing she ever loved, her family was gone forever. Hannah listened. There was it again, the noise. The last thing she heard before her house was destroyed. She couldn't remember the rest about how she got out of the ruins or how she got in this place. She didn't know how she could survive, but her family was killed. Hannah hugged her legs and closed her eyes, trembling more "I want it end", she whispered. "I want to wake up...I want it to be only a bad dream."

Rachel stood up and reached out in front of her with one hand, while keeping the other against the wall. She couldn't feel anything in front of her, and was afraid to move forward. "Where are we?" she called out to no one in particular.

Keria was near Rachel. "Hullo?" She called out, hearing Rachel speak. "Bryce, where are you?"
