You could make a post set during the fight, or something like that....
Sorry, but an EMP grenade would effectively end almost any fight against droids.

(Yep, he's right about the EMP thing.... It would do something similar to short-circuiting them, am I correct?.....)
Viree13 remains invisible throughout the battle, slipping through the fire of both sides until she's between the droids and then through them. She stops at the end of the hallway and peers around each corner, scouting ahead since she knows the two droids are a piece of cake.......

Yeah, that's basically what would happen, so far as I understand it.

(Essentially an EMP causes an overload. It's like a lightning strike knocking out the electricity in a power line.)
"Which way?" na'Tatha preferred to follow the Jedi's lead on this one; it was, after all, his feelings which served as their guidance. "And I suggest you decide quickly - we don't know whose attention we might have drawn." She looked at the commandos' gear, feeling a slight twinge of envy. Full face helmets, while commonly used in most of the rest of the galaxy, had never caught on with the Taarin, or the Maedan, for that matter. Their main dealings were usually with pirates, and those were usually resolved from the bridges of starships or with lightning raids.
Digging her gas mask out of her pack, she strapped it loosely about her neck, ready to pull it up. She hated actually wearing it - yes, it let one breathe, but only barely. Extended action was rendered almost impossible.

Right. Thanks for the confirmation, Valera.
Sahrai smiled as he saw na'Tatha hang her gas mask around her neck.
"I'm in the same situation, Sub-commander," he said with a smile. Actually, he didn't even have a gas mask--he would be relying on the Force to keep contaminated air away from him, or to hold his breath, if it came down to that.
"We might as well head towards wherever the droids came from," he said. "A roundabout way, of course. "Daaron? Can I see a copy of those level scematics, please?"
----
Daaron handed a datapad with the floor plans downloaded on it to Sahrai. The Jedi spent a few moments glancing over it, then smiled.
"We'll go straight for two more turns, then make a left. From there, I'll tell you instead of listing it all out now," he said. "But I've marked the spot where I first sensed the droids, so if we get separated, we can all make it to there."
Daaron nodded. It made sense, though he would rather not head towards a likely guard post. But it was a valid point that the droids were probably guarding something further that way, unless it was a trap.

The party moved off, na'Tatha staying in the vanguard with the major as Faradej - and presumably the invisible Viree13 - took point. They traversed the corridor cautiously, alert for any surveillance devices, but the area seemed clean. So far, so good. Time to send an update to her secure computer back at the administration palace. A quick finger on the "dump" button on her scanner, and all the recordings and logs of their mission so far were encrypted, scattered to satellites, and coalesced back in her base computer. It would take several direct instructions from her to actually decrypt the data - a black operation indeed.
What they were doing right now wasn't actually happening.

Viree13 watches as the others join up near her. She sighs and listens as they explain the way ahead. "Hey, Sahrai, I'm gonna take a quick reccy to see what's ahead of us...." With that, she starts forwards, ignoring Daaron's directions and listening to her inner sense of direction......
(Reconnoiter, if you're not familiar with the abbreviation.....)

OOC: Here is my character.
Name: Ordo Zey
Age: 36
Race: Human (Mandalorian)
Affiliations: Galactic Alliance, Mando'ade
Position: Lieutenant
Ship(s): A custom-built gunship, the Malachor V, can carry up to 21 passengers/prisoners. The Malachor V has 2 proton torpedo launchers, with magazines of 20 torpedoes each; 2 turbolaser turrets; 3 quad laser turrets; and 2 forward firing repeating light blaster cannons. The shields are more powerful than most other ships in its class, and the engines have been modified to give it more speed and maneuverability. It has one of Lando's YVH droids as a ship guard and an autopilot. (The Malachor V is not currently on the planet)
Weapons: A gauntlet blade on his right arm; a BlasTech X-13 prototype repeating blaster rifle which can be stripped down and reassembled into a semi-automatic sniper rifle; a BlasTech disruptor pistol; a few Thermal detonators; and explosives.
Height: 6'5"
Eyes: Dark Green
Hair: Light Brown/Blonde; military cut
Weight: 152 lb
Armor: Polycarbonate form-fitting body armor with Cortossis (sp?) weave and a cushioning gel layer. Ordo's helmet is assembled as a full helmet, but is heavily modified to interface wirelessly with non-closed-circut technology, night vision, infared vision, electromagnetic vision, and it gets commands from blinking and eye movements.
Biography: Born a number of years before the Yuuzhan Vong War, he entered it at the age of 13, in accordance with his Mandalorian heritage. Near the end of the war, Scar formally joined the Galactic Alliance as part of a Special Forces Commando team.
This is going to go back a little ways, to the end of the fight, but won't interupt anything.
IC: Ordo stood from his crouched position, his chest plate slightly blackened from a blaster hit. He swiped away most of the residue, leaving only a black smudge, one of many, behind. Ordo shouldered his rifle and followed Daaron and Sahrai and used his helmet to hack into one of the droid brains.
Most of the information he found was obliterated by the EMP gernade, but he managed to find a few door codes, though he didn't know how useful they would be.
"We'll go straight for two more turns, then make a left. From there, I'll tell you instead of listing it all out now," Sahrai said. "But I've marked the spot where I first sensed the droids, so if we get separated, we can all make it to there."
"Yes sir," Ordo checked his equiptment to make sure that none of it had been damaged in the firefight. He also marked their rendezvous point on a personal holo map inside of his helmet. Ordo then fell in line behind Daaron.

Welcome to The Aftermath of War, Doctor.
Sahrai sighed. Viree was a great scout, but she could try his patience sometimes--such as right now, forging ahead on her own during a search-and-destroy mission. If she found the mysterious Force-user, he wasn't sure if she would be able to handle it.
'Right, Viree. I'll try to monitor you through the Force, he thought back at the shapeshifter. Hopefully she wouldn't run into anything she couldn't handle.
As he thought about it, he realized that she might serve to divide the enemy's forces, resulting in less opposition in their operation.
----
They reached the intersection, and Sahrai listed the next few turns they would make. Thankfully, the Jedi hadn't chosen a very complicated path--it wasn't like they were trying to throw off pursuit, after all.
"Lieutenant," he said over Omega Squad's private channel, "every two minutes or so, run a scan to make sure we're not being followed. We don't want anybody attacking us from behind, after all."
"Sub-commander," he said, back on the normal channel, "how many enhanced soldiers do you think they might have at this time?" he asked.

(Welcome! You seem to be up to speed - hope your charrie has a few fallible points, though )
"To tell the truth, Major, I don't know. I could make a much better guess if I had access to whatever information your commandos managed to download." They were moving once again, in a hurried, cautious manner, getting closer to ... whatever it was. "I wouldn't be surprised if there was at least a squad of ten guarding the target. They seem like a valuable asset - formidable, and worth both protecting and being protected. I also would conjecture that they may be even more advanced than those that we saw. Again, actual data would be nice."

Sahrai turned around. "Lieutenant Zey, give the sub-commander a copy of the data files, please," he said. They certainly would want their Taarin ally to be well-supplied with information about any possible threat. Intel was always critical in a commando operation like this one, and she seemed to be pretty good at putting the pieces together. That was something he had never shown much promise in.
Bringing the corner of his mind that was concentrating on Viree into focus, he looked at the datapad with the building layout in his hand. She was a lot closer to the target destination than they were--either she had had remarkable luck in avoiding enemies on her more direct approach, or she was just ignoring them as she went past, invisible. Either way, they had to hurry, or she might find herself fighting more enhanced soldiers than she could handle.
-----
Daaron grimaced--he really should have studied more about genetics and biochemistry when he was in training, but at the time it hadn't seemed very important to him. Now he would give a lot to have even the supposedly-basic understanding of it that na'Tatha had. It would go a long way towards formulating their working plan if he understood the full details of the enhancement process, and any flaws in it that they might exploit.

OOC: Well, the main problem is that both his prototype blaster and his helmet are not hardened against EMP's, so don't throw any near him. He is also rather impatient.
IC: "Of course, sir," Ordo replied over the private commlink, and set his scanner to make a sweep every minute and a half. He iniated the first sensor sweep, but nothing was nothing following them, and set an quiet alarm to go off it the sweep detected anything.
"Lieutenant Zey, give the sub-commander a copy of the data files, please," Sahrai said.
Ordo pulled out a portable data pad, and downloaded all of the intel on this op to it and handed it to na'Tatha.

(!!!! I've just realized we been playing this RP for over a year. Congrats all 'round, people! .... I'm going to reference back to some of the events here: http://www.arwen-undomiel.com/forum/vie ... c&start=64)
"Thank you." na'Tatha scrolled through the information on the datapad, surprised at the level of detail. These guys certainly knew how to crack a mainframe. She found what she was looking for, laboratory documentation, and began searching through it for test specifications.
Her own datapad beeped. Her computer back at headquarters had flagged a priority event and decided she should know about it. The subcommander checked the military logs. No.
" Maanan's sacred eyeteeth!" Her hiss was vehement enough to imply a number of other things which she neglected to say. "He's done it."

Viree13 moved down hallways and slipped through vents not big enough for the other soldiers or Sahrai and na'Tatha. She passed a few droids that seemed to be wandering the halls, perhaps they were gaurds?.....
As she jumped down from a vent in the ceiling, she landed right on an invisible droideka's shoulders. Immediately her lightsaber is out, flashing down to slash through the droid's hard-drive and sever it's artificial brainstem. She flips off and lands in a crouch, still invisible. Apparently, before the droid was 'dead', it had alerted it's comrades.......
Viree13 spins around at the clank of metal on metal. Deciding that being invisible against life-form seeking droids isn't much defense, she rematerializes, but now her skin is a strange black color, matching her leather outfit, and is almost scaly-looking.......
She draws her other lightsaber, the twin unnaturally-dark blue blades flickering. With a spinning motion she cuts through a side-panel in the wall and slices through the electric cables to that hallway, cutting the power for the lights......
Viree13 leaps forwards, driving one blade into startled droid's chest and using her momentum to flip over it, cutting it neatly in half as she lands behind it. Her second saber flicks down, around, up and across in a crescent moon formation, slicing the legs of another droid, cutting its gun arm in half and finally hacking through the neck. The other droids lock their guns on her, and her Force-senses scream as the bullets streak towards her....
Viree13 drops flat to the ground, avoiding the first volley. Reaching down, she pulls a high-powered, modified blaster from a hook on her belt and closes her eyes, since it's already dark. She aims the gun at where her senses tell her the droids are, and presses the trigger. Instead of a bullet, a stream of red laser-light shoots out and burns through droid after droid.....

OOC: I hope that this is okay, but if it is not, I'll remove it.
IC: "Maanan's sacred eyeteeth!" na'Tatha said vhemently."He's done it."
Ordo looked at her quisically, but before he could really think about what she had said, his sensor alarm went off in his helmet. "Fierfek," he swore inside of his helmet.
"Sir, three tangos comming fast on our six. Profile resembles humanoid, but they regester as droids. Probably YVH or a new prototype droid," Ordo spun and brought his blaster to his shoulder, sighting down the length of the barrel. "Estimated time to hard contact, thirty five seconds."
"Fierfek," he swore again when he heard blaster fire from up ahead of them, this time over the open com channel. "Sorry sir. YVH's have different armor than most droids. Their armor will replenish itself over time, so we have to take them out quickly."
Ordo turned towards na'Tatha, "Ma'am, if you have any more of those madified EMPs, now might be a good time to use them."
OOC: Tangos are enemy units for those of you that don't know, and hard contact is when they will open fire.

This was bad, this was bad - and they were in a hot combat situation. Double bad. Come on, girl. Game face, now.
na'Tatha knew, without checking, exactly what she had. "One left." She pulled it out of one of her mesh pockets. "Cover me."
The subcommander pushed past the stationary commandos, back the way they had come, staying close to the wall so the man could have a clear shot if he needed it. Thirty-five seconds. Five to throw and detonate, ten to run, multiply by two and a half because they were running toward her, and faster than she was. Five seconds for Hubert's law, which said that bad things always reached you before you were ready for them.
Nine one thousand, ten one thousand. Not yet. A heartbeat. Another one. Maanan, her pulse rate was up. Footsteps. Heavy metal footsteps. Very nice.
na'Tatha pulled the pin, holding down the spoon, and lobbed it, right down the center of the corridor, as far away from herself as possible. She backed up, quickly, rifle at the ready. "And pray to all the gods you know," she added into her comm set, "that the redundancies on this tin cans haven't been improved."
She was out of range of the EMP protection shield now, which was good, because it detonated.
