There appears to be lots of people with a dislike towards Hobbits i wonder why this is? Does anyone know. I understand that there are some undesirbale traits of Hobbits but that's no reason to have such a strong dislike of them i don't think...I love Hobbits...what about you?

I for one loooove hobbits! It seems that many people do prefer elves of hobbits. I like elves and all, but hobbits are just amazing. I saw that in another talk about hobbits, a few people thought that they were annoying. I find hobbits to always be happy. They are very peaceful, and dont really know much about what is going on outside of their world, but I think that that is good. So then they can carry on with their lives, and not have to worry about much. I wouldnt mind hanging out with Frodo, Merry, Pippin, and Sam. I would have a blast!

i love hobbits. i think the think that appeals people about elves is that they're all glowy and clean and tall a stuff. but i like hobbits they're all peaceful and happy...the one think i really love is that they don't where shoes. i love the idea of not wearing shoes....i don't in the summer unless i abolutly have to.

but anyways i agree. i don't get how people don't like hobbits.

I don't understand how ANYONE can hate Hobbits...that's like hating puppies!!! *hugs adorable Hobbits* I myself like both Hobbits and Elves and depending on what day I can like one more than the other.

Hate Hobbits ???
How can anyone hate Hobbits?? That is impossible! They are very lovable creatures who are always so happy and want a peaceful life!

Hobbits are wonderful creatures and I also adore them Just like Gandalf said, 'Hobbits are amazing creatures!'

Lol..uhh..you can kinda count me in as a person who "dislike" not "hate" Hobbits. ..hmm..same for Dwarves..I dont really like them.

but after watching FOTR a few days ago..yeah..Hobbits are okay...8)

Well, dislike is one thing, I suppose I could *maybe* understand that. But as to passionately hating Hobbits...this to me seems impossible.

Like what everyone has stated above, how can anyone hate/dislike Hobbits? They're fun-loving, peace-filled creatures and I can't really find a reason to truly hate them.

Awwwwwwwww, How can one person hate a hobbit? I adore them. My favorite two being SamWise Gamgee and Frodo Baggins. I have also created my own hobbit just to show everyone how much I love em'. I think they are neat.

I too like to think i bear the characteristics of a hobbit in my life-style eg loving mushrooms and food in general and being a happy, sociable person with great hospitality skills. I love hobbits but everyone on the movie thread in comparison to the book thread seems to adore hobbits, People who are more familiar with the books tend to dislike hobbits more than those familiar more with or only with the movies...

Haha. I'm here. I'm not a hobbit fan. They might have really cool eating habbits (six meals a day sounds good to me), but the way they act in regards to the outside world grates on my nerves too much for me to like them.
