Well, he is pretty important in Eldest. I mean, he's the title character! Eldest! But I won't say more because some people havn't read the book all they way through yet.

Who knows if they'll have Murtagh in the second movie? He has a small part, even if it's really important, but hey... after seeing the first movie... wouldn't be surprised.

I reeaally don't think they could have the battle at the end without having Murtagh. And it's a bit of a shocker as well. I would really hope that they would have him in.

I hope so too, believe me, but Arya and Murtagh weren't even in the end battle scene in the first movie.

We're discussing how outrageous it is that Murtagh had five lines in the movie and if he'll even merit a part in the second.

oh... which reminds me I'm kinda hating Murtagh at the moment... just finished reading Eldest... yup, but I'll get over it! hm... he really won't have much of a part in eldest since he's only in two chapters, and mentioned in five... and in Eragon he's in half the book, yet only get 5 lines in the movie!

But, he spared Eragon. Under pain of... pain. Galbatorix would torture him for it, and he knew it, and he let Eragon go anyway.

I know... and got over my hate for Murtagh... now I'm hating Galbatorix even more... But no one can completely hate Murtagh... it's almost near impossible...
