Rachel cautiously started feeling along the walls. "Are there any doors in here," she asked. "Besides the one we came in?" Her fingers weren't finding anything except unbroken concrete.

"I'm not sure...but we must look quickly." Bryce crawled down into the darkness near the back of the tornado shelter. He felt a dead-end. Great.. He thought and then as he leaned against the wall in despration, he felt it move a little. He looked over his shoulder and then rammed his shoulder into the wall, hard.

It crumbled.

And past the destoyed wall was a tunnel...a way to escape.

Rachel jumped as she heard the wall crumble. "What was that?"

Bryce came back into the light. "A way to live...hurry!" He pulled Keira with him as he led the way towards the escape route.

Keira clasped tightly onto Rachel's hand as she held onto Bryce's, who lead the group. "Don't let go of me, Rachel."

Zrglst burst his arm through the wall near Keira, and clawed for her madly.

Keira screamed and grabbed onto Bryce. Bryce saw a small hole near him as he pulled Rachel and Keira down in it with him. They fell into darkness for a fe moments until the hit water. They where in a the sewer system.

"That works too," Jared muttered, eyeing the tunnel. His gaze shifted from the escape route to the burning laboratory below him. Roy should be back by now. Too bad he wasn't. And now someone had to play superhero.

"Hurry, Jared. Help me, Jared. You're such an idiot, Jared. I'm dying, Jared." Grousing all the while, he pulled his shirt over his mouth and nose, then dropped down into the conflagration. He ducked beneath the lethal wafts of heat and squinted through the smoky haze. "Roy? You still alive in there?"

"It's going... fire... explode..." Roy said dumbly, staring blankly at the wall. Obviously, some of the chemicals had gotten to his head.

"They...went...tunnel...um..." He stared at the alien blankly, head cocked a little to one side, as if this were a lady's afternoon tea and an unexpected guest had shown up.

Rachel bit back a scream as the three fell. She hit the water and quickly sat up. She had lost her grip of Kiera's hand during the fall and felt panic start to rise in her again.
