Viree13 hears an explosion not too far off, coming through a door on her left. Without much thought and moving mainly on instinct, she whirls around, aiming her laser at the door. The laser severs the locking mechanism and it slides open.....
Viree13 ducks into the opening beyond and presses the button to close the door. Using the Force she melds the lock back together and turns around to see a hallway of decimated droids.....

Ordo pulled one of his two EMP gernades off of his belt, followed the same count as na'Tatha, and tossed his gernade slightly after the subcommander threw hers. He could feel his pulse pounding a staccato rhythm inside of his skull. Ordo's EMP rolled slightly past hers and detonated slightly after hers. His timing was close, but not perfect, and most of the EMP's energy was contained by the EMP protection shield, and the residual energy sent static across his viewscreen.
Two of the YVH's were inside of the blast radius and their electronics were overloaded by the dual EMP blasts. However, the third one was slightly behind them and suffered only a momentary shutdown and reboot. "Weapons free!" Ordo yelled to the commandos, and they all began firing at the YVH droid. "Concentrate on the photoreceptors, destroying them will decrease its accuracy."

Sorry for my absence, guys. I had a lot of homework to do.
Sahrai spun around, igniting his lightsaber--the only functional one he had, since his other had been fried in the EMP blast earlier--and running to stand in front of the group again.
"What exactly did he do?" he shouted over his shoulder to na'Tatha, trying to make sure she could hear above the blaster fire. "Did he stage his little coup?"
He rolled out of the way as the EMP grenade went off, staying out of the range of its blast this time. It wouldn't be very good if his other lightsaber got shorted out too.
----
Daaron felt his heartbeat increase notably as the YVH droids started sending blaster fire in their direction. These were droids that were built to last, their Laminium armor repleneshing itself from special supplies carried inside the exoskeleton.
A few well-placed bolts from the commandos took out the remaining droid's photoreceptors after the EMP grenade went off, but it didn't reduce its accuracy by a lot.

OOC: No problem.
IC:The commando's blaster fire was doing little to damage the YVH droid, seeing as their armor could take a plasma ball at point blank from a coralskipper and keep on fighting. He hoped that the YVH's laninanium ingot was close to depleted, or they could be in trouble.
One of the YVH's blaster bolt's burned through the armor on his thigh, searing the flesh on his leg, and Ordo let out a groan as pain lanced up his right leg. He sunk slowly to one knee and continued firing, but knew that they couldn't keep this up. He looked around to try to find IEDs or other thing he could use to help them defeat the droid.
OOC: IEDs are Improvised Explosive Devices.

Viree13 hears blaster fire around the corner and resorts to invisibility again as she comes flying around the bend, lightsabers flashing. She hits the droids from behind, shearing through two of the rear droids and then flipping in mid-air, cannoning into the back of another droid, causing it to stumble forwards......
Staying invisible, so that only her sabers are seen, she slashes downwards, cleaving through the downed droid's neck. Blaster fire heads her way and she deflects the bullets back into the droids who sent them, whirling to face one coming up behind her......
A mental message flickers through to Sahrai. "I see you needed a little help?....." A smirk is heard in Viree13's voice, but with the message comes a flash of blinding pain as a bullet singes her wounded side.....

(To clarify, as I read it: one YVH left. unfortunately proving hard to kill.)
na'Tatha barely heard Faradej over the din. "Later," she shouted back. A firefight was not exactly the best place to discuss politics. However - "It's not good."
When faced with shear force, this YVH droid - where had the Maedan gotten them, anyway, without the knowledge of the Taarin? - was virtually indestructible. The subcommander was standing in a narrow recess of the corridor wall now, trying to place automatic fire from her projectile rifle in vulnerable spots. The problem was that the cursed thing didn't have any.
A thought struck her. If they couldn't destroy the droid, perhaps they could influence its environment. "Major Fahl?" The headset was full of static from the EMP backwash, especially on this general channel. "Do you have any explosives on you big enough to knock a hole in this floor? There are several levels below which our metal friend might like to terrorize. I thought we might help him."

Master Skywalker would've had no trouble with these droids. He could've used his incredibly precise control over the Force to disconnect the power lines in the droid, or to disrupt its blaster, or something similar. Unfortunately, Master Skywalker wasn't present, and Sahrai didn't have that precise control. If he wasn't paying so much attention to blocking its bolts, maybe he could've crushed it in a Force grip, but that would take too much concentration.
He did avoid a couple of bolts for the time it took to drag Viree out of the droid's path, though. It wouldn't be good for her to be shot while she was still disoriented from the graze.
"Don't get hit when you're talking with me next time, okay?" he shouted to her once she was close enough. The surge of pain that had flowed from her into him when she got hit had almost resulted in him catching one of the blaster bolts himself.
-----------
Daaron smiled slightly at na'Tatha's suggestion, and sent a brief transmission to Aivon, the demolitions specialist. As he stepped to the side to give the soldier more cover, Daaron thought about the possible results of this action--the explosive might decrease the structural support, and being underground as they were, he could only hope it didn't do too much. It shouldn't, but these weapons were highly sporadic--sometimes their charge was as small as it was intended to be, but occasionally it would be far larger. The red dot in the corner of his viewscreen that showed Aivon's location relative to his own flickered blue for an instant, indicating that the commando was ready with the explosive.
"Go," Fahl said, stepping to the side. Aivon threw the mine like a discus, so that it hit the floor a little ways in front of the YVH and slid to a stop right around its feet.
"Take cover," Daaron warned, throwing himself to the side of the hallway, and in front of na'Tatha--his armor would shield her partially at least, if the blast was larger than they had anticipated.

Odro sprayed blaster fire to cover Aivon as he set the explosive, and another blaster bolt from the YVH's arm cannon hit his breastplate, feeling like a very hard punch. Ordo thought that he felt a few of his ribs crack, and began to slowly move backwards. As the explosive landed, Ordo threw himself behind cover, seeing as na'Tatha was shielded by Daaron and the Jedi could use the Force to shield themselves fromt he blast, but with his armor breached, the explosion could cause some problems.
The YVH quickly relized what they were trying to do and began to move backwards and its left arm raised. "Detonate now!" Ordo yelled, relising that the YVH was about to fire its secondary weapon, either a MerrSon missle launcher or a gernade launcher. Fierfek, if this doesn't work, were in trouble, Ordo through as he peeked his head out and fired off a few more shots.

Viree13 stumbled slightly from the contact with the bullet, and became visible once more. As Sahrai pulled her to the side she shook her head to clear it and stood up......
"Whatever you say....." Viree13 smirked teasingly at Sahrai and turned back to the action, raising a Force shield when she heard someone say 'Detonate!'......

(aww, Aerandir, I'm touched .... btw did you ever post a formal bio for Daaron Fahl?)
na'Tatha was unable to see anything - blast, Fahl was tall - but on second thoughts, perhaps that was a good thing. She crammed herself closer to the wall, turning her face to the duracrete and wrapping an arm around her head, waiting for hell to break loose. Thankfully her percussion-sensitive earplugs, standard for any firefight, were still in place.

Lol, I don't think I did post a formal bio. I can, if you want.
Sahrai saw the explosive land by the YVH and ran. He couldn't afford to be disoriented from being too close to yet another explosion--he had to stay sharp.
He pulled Viree out of the blast radius, too, not knowing whether or not she could stand or get out fast enough with the graze on her leg. He wasn't interested in finding out that she couldn't, either.
He saw the commandos edging closer to cover, and his eyes widened. He might not be far enough from the explosive if the commandos were worried. He ran.
-----
Daaron tucked his head under his arms. His visor went dark for an instant as Aivon detonated the explosive, and he felt himself thrown down the corridor.
Sithspit, if I hit the sub-commander... he thought. He could very well crush her under the weight of his armor and the force with which the explosive blew them all backwards. Thankfully, he felt himself hit the floor without landing on anything else, and rolled, turning around to face the explosion site just in case the YVH had somehow managed to survive.
Where the droid had been a gaping hole now existed, including the walls to either side, and the floor and ceiling.
"Everybody okay?" Daaron asked. He knew his commandos would be okay, but na'Tatha and the Jedi might be banged up a bit. Or a lot--they hadn't exactly been thrown lightly, after all.

Viree13 feels Aerandir's hand on her, guiding her away, so she takes the incentive and runs, not needing any help past the getting up stage.....
(It's on her side, not her leg.....)

The blast tinting on Ordo's visor activated the moment Aivon detonated the explosive, keeping him from being blinded. Ordo felt the crates that he crouched behind crash down on top of him. He pushed them off and slowly stood, wincing in pain, and surveyed the scene.
"Fierfek, I think that the yeild on that one was a little large," Ordo pulled his blaster out from beneath the pile of crates, and began to check it for damage. The muzzle was bent, so Ordo carefully unscrewed it and put it in his pack, and then rummaged around for a replacement. He found one and screwed it on and checked the rest of the blaster. It was stick on the repeating blaster setting, but besides that, it was fine.
"Everybody okay?" Daaron asked.
"I'll be fine, sir," Ordo pulled off his shoulder plate, not making the normal hissing sound that uncompromised armor would. He took a syrnge full of painkillers and injected it directly into his shoulder and then injected himself with anti-shock medicine. Ordo took a microsealer out of his pack and resealed the breach in his armor with it.
As he did this, he used his helmet to scan the rest of the commandos. Ordo himself had the worst injury, and the rest just had bruses and one had two cracked ribs. Ordo put his shoulder plate back on and check the seal he made. It held, and he went over to na'Tatha and helped her up, "Ma'am, did you know that they have YVH droids?"

na'Tatha gave the lieutenant the iciest glare she could muster, under the circumstances. "That fact has been quite thoroughly brought to my attention over the course of the past few minutes, thank you." She'd thought the New Republic's special forces had an IQ requirement.
However, she did accept his hand in getting to her feet. Since she was already flat against the wall during the explosion, it had alternately scraped her against and hammered her into the duracrete, leaving the subcommander feeling like she had been punched in the gut - and everywhere else - by someone with durasteel gloves. Fortunately her clothes were projectile-proof - a convenient consequence of having projectile weapons - so she didn't have any serious shrapnel injuries.
She leaned against the wall to catch her breath, and realized that she couldn't breathe, because the air was thick with dust from the explosion. Duracrete particles were also carcinogenic if inhaled. Cheers. na'Tatha pulled her filteration mask over her face, drawing deep gulps of purified air. "Well, what's next?" she demanded, her muffled voice broadcast by a microphone in her mask. "I wouldn't recommend blowing too many more holes in this rat trap."

Ordo ignored the subcommander's icy glare, "Perhaps I should have clarified the question, ma'am. Did you have any prior knowledge of YVH droids?"
He had noticed the dust, but gave it little notice as his helmet's filter's didn't let the duracrete particles into his helmet. "Well, what's next?" na'Tatha demanded, her muffled voice broadcast by a microphone in her mask. "I wouldn't recommend blowing too many more holes in this rat trap."
"I agree, that would weaken the structural integrity even more, and probably cause the entire compound to come crashing down onto us," Ordo walked over to the hole in the floor. "If we need to go down a floor we could rapell down, but then we'd run the risk of re-engaging the YVH."

Sahrai gave Ordo a withering glance. "I don't think the droid will be troubling us--the explosion was big enough and close enough that it probably destroyed it. However--there's no need to find out.
His right side was tender from his tumble down the hallway, and when this mission was over, he would probably have quite a collection of bruises, but he had no serious injuries.
"I sense some alarm at that explosion, but some satisfaction, too," Sahrai pointed out. "We probably have a small window of time in which they think we killed ourselves with our own explosives. I think we can get some considerable ground covered during that time," he said, just in case the idea hadn't crossed anyone else's mind.
----
Daaron got to his feet, calling for a weapons-check. Everyone checked out okay, except for Ordo, whose blaster muzzle had been bent.
The sub-commander and the two Jedi looked to be in decent shape for people who had just been hurled down a hallway without protective armor, but they probably couldn't do many sprints--at least, the Taarin probably couldn't. The Jedi had surprised him before with their endurance. They would probably make it.
"Can you walk and run okay, sub-commander?" he asked na'Tatha. If she couldn't keep up, he wasn't too keen on the idea of one of his commandos having to carry her, but he didn't know if Sahrai could carry her in a Force-grip and still do all the other things he was doing for the team.
