I'll be rooting for The Prestige for art direction but DMC for the rest of the categories that it was nominated for.

it would be really great to see DMC win. we all know how these people like to vote and how they don't like to give credit to the pirate movie....but hey they're nominated!!! thats a big step in its own

You can't necessarily say that either, after all, all that was said was "Mr. Turner"
and that dude who told "Mr. Turner" to secure whatever, he didn't know that Will's name was "Turner" also. and none of the crew did either. so i agree, it wasn't his fault.

Wow, awesome pics! I really like the music during that part too, they really shouldn'tve left it out of the soundtrack.

Yeah, to be honest, I was fairly disappointed with the soundtrack. The score was excellent but I thought they ripped us off when they sold us the soundtrack CD.

When we rented DMC from the movie place I played that part over and over again just to hear the music. My sister was getting ticked off at me.

Favorite songs on the soundtrack for me was Davy Jones and The Kraken. I do love the organ music...
Yep, so I kept listening to the two consecutively over and over and over again...still not sick of them even now.

Sick of PotC music? Hah, you jest.
Says the nerd who has listened to it while doing math every weekday since the beginning of November. And I don't even own the DMC soundtrack yet. I do play a lot of DMC music on the piano, though, particularly Davy Jones, which I fancy myself rather adept at.

Aye, same here, Melda. I have Davy Jones and The Kraken perfected and frequently just transition straight from one to the other when I'm playing. I'm also teaching myself Two Hornpipes (the song played during the tavern brawl) right now and have become at least decent at it (meaning that when I play it at tempo, it actually sounds kinda like Two Hornpipes).
Oh! And I'm currently in the process of writing piano music for "Barbossa Is Hungry". I've been meaning to sound it out and write music forever, but I finally got around to it. Once I finish that up, I'm hoping to do "Tia Dalma" and/or "Family Affair", then if I'm feeling really ambitious, "Hello Beastie" (since those three are my favorite songs and conveniently are the three songs not included in the sheet music). Fun stuffs!

^ I hate it when they leave out your favorite songs in the sheet music books *cough*lotr*cough*narnia*cough*davincicode*cough*potc*cough*
"Barbossa Is Hungry" is so majestic and powerful! Definitely one of my favorite PotC scores!

Yes I really like the Kraken, Davy Jones, and Two Hornpipes. I play Davy Jones on the piano even though it does get a bit difficult with the five flats. potr, is it possible you can send me the Kraken?
