For me snow would be not only a chance for fun, but a day off school ( always a bonus) But we hardly get any. Oh Well... :bye:

Ah, snow...making foxholes to hide in until your nose turns blue, leaping out at people when they walk past looking like the Abominable Snowman...waging war against the next door neighbours in snowball fights, spending four. hours. trying to find a small terrier that thought it would be fun to run across the frozen lake and disappear into the freezing cold, pitch black forest on the other side...

So many memories :P

Snow. Geesh, that hasn't happened here in the south for years. I guess it snows in the north of Scotland though. All those mountains...

The last time we got decent snow, I was invalided in bed. The weekend prior I had earnt myself a very painful injury playing footbal which had me laid up in bed for a week. And out for the rest of the season too. I had to use a walking stick for a little while :P Got some funny looks at school ;)

The reason we don't get snow is the Gulf stream, which is what makes us warmer than other places of our latitude. Swings and roundabouts, doncha know!

Really? The way some of the people act here during cold weather, you'll think it will snow here. I'm walking around in shorts and shirts in 60 degree weather and then when I enter a classroom, the heater is on like double max or something. I'm thinking I wonder who these guys will survive in Siberia. That ought to have plenty of snow.

Yeah. Also known as the North Atlantic Drift. Basically, it's a load of warm weather and water dragged across the North Atlantic from the Gulf of Mexico. It's often wet too though, but without it, we would be in such a green and pleasant land :D

And it was painful. Very painful. No idea how long it took to recover. Perhaps I could have been back playing in a couple of months, but I played it safe, and took the rest of the season off. If I have any advice for anyone, it's avoid popping your groin. Excrutiating! (Basically, the muscle 'popped' out of its connection with my pelvis. I felt and heard the pop. :explode: )

And see... the British are talking about the weather!
As well as football injuies *coughcough* but that's beside my point, lol. By the way, that sounds awful Darrell. I promise I'll take your advice and never get injured!
