Does anyone here know how exactly can I colourize skin? Because everytime I try it, I end up giving the person a heavy tan.

Do you have a screen, overlay, soft light option etc in PS?

(Blending options are the same, cept there's no [Legacy] option)
I usually go for a combo of 4-5 layers, soft light, multiply, overlay and sometimes color burn + screen. Low opacity or some erasing helps if it looks weird

Also it helps if you have a picture of the actress (?) and you can find the shade of skin that way. It doesn't always work though and sometimes you'll just have to pick your own colours.

Yeah I find it easier to have two duplicated layers for you base, one desturized and one not. Just so I can refer back to the original image (if it was in color already) so I can see what the skin tone was. (JF that one I posted is Jessy Schram...you know Sharona in Monk? Bity Schram? That's her younger sister...)

I don't really know how to do colorizations properly (if there is a 'properly')So I just do flood fills and erase what I don't need.
Well I meant Jessy is Bitty's younger sister, so Bitty is older.
