Sorry, fake. In fact, one of the oldest fakes out there. Here's what it looks like when I remove everything that conflicts with a known plot point/line/scene/name:
Quote:
Thunder STRIKES over WDP Logo.
OPENING SHOT: A dark night overlooking a Singapore Trading Harbor.
Shot of SAO FENG smiling into Elizabeth's eyes.
Shot of pleased looking GIBBS on shore.
Shot of LORD CUTLER whirling to face GOVERNOR SWANN.
NORRINGTON in fresh Admiral's uniform aboard his own Royal Navy ship.
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END
SUMMER 2007.
And that's being generous with a few that might possibly happen but are too vague to really be counted one way or the other. Now...
Quote:
CAPTAIN SAO FENG: (Voice-Over) I hear a song Miss Swann. A song that has been sung by children, ghosts, and madmen. Yo..Ho...Yo..Ho...
Yo Ho...Yo Ho...No. All I have to say about that one.
Quote:
She pulls a cutlass to strike, is easily parried by Sao Feng. Will Turner appears behind him with a blade at his throat.
WILL TURNER: We're not here for you. We offer-
Nothing. They offer nothing. They want a ship and Sao Feng's charts, as well as his attendance at the Court of the Brethren. In return, the seas aren't ruled by Beckett. Simple as that.
Quote:
SAO FENG raises an iron claw to finish WILL off and is stopped by a blunderbuss (pistol) clicking right in his ear.
Camera swings around to reveal Barbossa with Monkey Jack on his shoulder.
BARBOSSA: We've come for The Black Pearl, Captain.
They want Jack, who is in World's End (aka Purgatory). Sao Feng has the charts they need to get there. The only one whose first priority is getting the Pearl is Will. Everyone else just wants/needs Jack back.
Quote:
WILL and ELIZABETH turn to BARBOSSA with questioning looks.
BARBOSSA rolls his eyes.
BARBOSSA: And...for the soul of
Barbossa's really not the one they need to be worrying about here. They know his full plan. But does he know Will's? If anyone's going to be getting questioning looks, it's dear William.
Quote:
Shot of Davy Jones dropping an eye monicle on a navigation chart.
DAVY JONES: (whispers) ...Sparrow.
Turns to his crew.
DAVY JONES: The Locker!
Just...no. No further comment.
Quote:
JACK SPARROW: (echo voice-over) I'm in...something of a pinch mate.
Shot of WILL and BARBOSS in TIA DALMA's shack peering into a glass rock. Thousands of giant mutated crabs start to pour out of it and onto the dock. Jack's arms flail from the same portal. BARBOSSA and WILL step back.
Good heavens, no. No shack. No glass rock. No portal. Thousands of crabs, yes, but in two completely different scenes. And NO flailing Jack arms.
Quote:
WILL throwing ELIZABETH'S arms off him.
Will may not be happy with Elizabeth, but she's not on good terms with him either (for a while, at least). There is a scene sort of possibly like this a bit, but it's reversed, and with completely different motives.
Quote:
RAGETTI puts in a diamond eye and looks happy.

Quote:
JACK SPARROW in a surreal desert (Purgatory) falling into quicksand and crabs. BARBOSSA reaching to pull him out.
JACK SPARROW: I'll not be saved by the likes of you!
Folds his arms in refusal and continues to sink.
BARBOSSA: And I don't want to be saving ya, but I don't see any sea turtles around to help ya now Jack.
Desert, yes. Purgatory, yes. Crabs, yes. Quicksand, no. Kinda almost sort of resembles an exchange that occurs, but completely different circumstances.
Quote:
"BOOTSTRAP" BILL sits at a campfire talking to someone OC.
BILL: I need to find him...he's...my son.
VOICE: You have a son?
BILL: Yes.
VOICE: I have a son as well. In these very waters. I'll help you find yours if you help uncover mine.

No. No. No. Bootstrap spends the whole movie on the Dutchman, either believing his son is dead or knowing exactly where he is. No campfires. No mysterious voices. No "you help me, I help you" deals.
Quote:
CAPTAIN GRANT "The Sea Sponge" SPARROW: Savvy?
I swear, that name is becoming more annoying than Cora Sparrow (ask anyone who did any sort of spoiler-hunting for DMC, and they'll tell you just how irritating that fake little girl got). Papa Sparrow's name is Teague Sparrow, not Grant "Seasponge" Sparrow.
We'll get the trailer when we get it, but I'm not believing anything I read until then.
The latest rumor is that Gore Verbinski said the trailer would be released on the 13th with Ghost Rider, but I haven't heard that confirmed.
