I know... I hate it that they don't play any TV shows this time of year.
Kitoky- I know, that was a weird situation. I also like that he doesn't fit in in Stars Hallow. No one really likes him. I just hope that Lorelai realizes what she has to do soon- or, if she already does, to hurry up and act on it.

I gotta agree with ArwenEvenstar. Lorelai had better figure out that Chris, though somewhat reliable, is not right for her.

Yeah. Christopher still acts like that spoiled rich kid sometimes now that he's 'rich' again. I don't think he's learned very much from his time with endless amount of money on his hands. When he donated so much money in the Knit-A-Thon, you could see the look on Lorelai's face wanting everyone to keep knitting for a cause, because she loves those types of things. Christopher has yet grasped or understood Lorelai's want to stay in a small town.
Luke has known Lorelai for YEARS. He's known her for over ten years, the entire time that she came to the town with Rory. Luke has listened to her ramblings of things over coffee, he has heard her fears of Rory's future, her despise for her parents and the rich pampered world, her dream on opening an inn, seeing her open that inn, HELPING her open that inn, and I bet he's SO proud of her. With Rory moving on with her own life now, Lorelai has only two real best friends. Luke and Sookie.
I do find it disappointing and sad that Luke was persuaded into thinking that he and Lorelai were never meant to be together by Lix & TJ, that they were just bouncing off of each other because of their colliding personalities. I mean, Liz and TJ mean well, but they KNOW Lorelai, they shouldn't be talking so badly of her and of their relationship just so that Luke can stop being depressed. Maybe he needs to be depressed? Maybe that's what he has to do to realized that he doesn't want anyone else but Lorelai?
The scene in the grocery store with Lorelai and Luke was one of the saddest episodes ever. Lorelai just listening to Luke's conclusion about them, and that just made her feel resigned that she no longer had an excuse to try and get back together with him.
But that's my rambling.
Xxshe's a piratexX: Nope! Around season 2-3, I felt the same way. I wanted Christopher/Lorelai together because by then Luke & Lorelai didn't ignite yet.

Did anyone catch the new episodes about the Hayden family's "belated Christmas"?

Yeah... to be perfectly honest, though, I'm more concerned about the whole Lorelai and Luke bonding thingy that they mentioned in the preview. It's about time!!

Who totally got teary-eyed and aww'd their head off when the judge read Lorelai's letter of character about Luke?
I LOVED her letter. More than anything, that is by far the best scene in all of GG history.
Lorelai's Letter wrote: To whom it may concern,
In the nearly 10 years that I have known Luke Danes, I have come know him as an honest, and decent man. He's also one of the most kind and caring persons I have ever met.
I am a single mother, and I raised my daughter by myself, but once Luke Danes became my friend in this town, I never really felt alone.
Luke and I have had our ups and downs throughout the years, but through it all, his relationship with my daughter Rory, has never changed. He's always been there for her no matter what. He was there to celebrate her birthdays, he was there cheering her on at her high school graduation. Luke has been sort of a father figure in my daughters life.
With his own daughter Luke wasn't given the opportunity to be there for her first 12 years, but he should be given that opportunity now.
Once Luke Danes is in your life, he's in your life forever.
I know from personal experience what an amazing gift that is, and not to allow him access to his daughter would be to seriously deprive her of all this man has to offer, and he offers so much.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely, Lorelai Gilmore
[sighs]
Also, there's a whole bunch missing from that --- xD that's the best I could do by memory, I've gotta rewatch my DVR recording.

I loved that scene too. It completely gave away how much she felt still about him, which I loved. It's so cool that it helped him ultimately win the case, too.

Now, I love JavaJunkie but I don't think that going by only that letter, would anyone have guessed Lorelai's true and deepest feelings for Luke. The letter was professional, it was subtle and ultimately was really only made in the light of helping Luke win his case with April.
Though even if Lorelai is still in love with Luke she's know that Luke has gotten over their relationship and now she's married. She's realized that and after Emily's talk with her about how marriage is compromise, she's learned to start doing just that ---- she's becoming more and more adapted to her life as Mrs. Hayden.
As Luke having his talk with Liz and TJ and finally having the final confession to Lorelai at the grocery store, that was his way of expressing what he felt about her and about them. Here, Lorelai has finally found a way to express how she feels about Luke and (undertone) about their past relationship.
But as Lorelai was trying to get it completely out of her system just like Luke, Christopher smacks it back to her face and interrogates her about her intentions as it clearly states in their argument, Lorelai was completely determined to forget about Luke and compromise with Christopher. Both she and Luke have denounced their relationship, but they wouldn't denounce their friendship as it will inevitably go on.

Anyways... I didn't get to see most of the episode on tuesday, since I had practice that day..so if anyone could tell me what happened, I'd be grateful.

Tuesday was nothing major. Rory, Lorelai and Emily go on a road trip to Mia's wedding down in North Carolina, Lane and Zack ask Luke to be the godfather of their twins, and in the end, Lane goes into labor. Emily and Mia bond while Emily is begrudgingly saddened by the girls' attachment to Mia and her absence in Rory's life growing up. Logan is a cry baby and he pouts and whines and needed to be kicked where the sun don't shine, but in the end, when Rory chooses to leave for NC instead of "being there fore him", he wised up, flew down to NC to talk to her and he tells her, "I'm done with this stage."
